Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ Itโs a chance to
share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and
things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog
for the week ahead.
Today is my first real back-to-blogging day. If you
visited my blog recently you would have seen that I had a lot less posts the
last week and half than I normally do. Ever since I came back from my skiing
trip with my colleagues, I have been feeling really tired and edgy. I was tired before
the trip, but ever since coming back I just felt off. I was feeling a lot of
stress and just didnโt feel like myself for a while. So to get back to being
me, I had a little blogging break so I could focus on my reading and my job
(which has to go on as we all know) and just being me.
hard for me. I felt like I was letting my blog down.. But although it was
really hard, now I can honestly say I feel more relaxed and me again. Not having
to do stuff when I came home from work was really helpful and relaxing. And now
after a week and half I can say Iโm back and truly excited to get back to my book blogging.
keep hearing a lot of good things about called โThe Miracle Morningโ. Hopefully
this book will give me some tools to being more relaxed! I will keep you guys
posted.
out of the nightshift Monday morning, it felt like I had to work much more. Work
was busy, productive and fun, so I definitely got some energy from work this
week.
girlfriend. And Thursday after work we had a โgoodbyeโ dinner for one of my colleagues.
And for the first time in three weeks I donโt have to work this weekend.. So Iโm
just going to read, blog and spend time with my man. And since itโs Valentineโs
day, weโre having a nice and romantic breakfast!
a heads up on my reading list. I hope that will make me feel relaxed even more.
And Iโm starting in โThe Miracle Morningโ, next to my normal reading. Iโm so
curious what this book will teach me.

That's great that your break from blogging helped you to refresh yourself and get excited for it again! I mean, we blog because we enjoy it, so it kind of ruins the whole point if it gets too stressful. Hope you enjoy the Miracle Morning book ๐ Have a great relaxing weekend and Valentine's Day!
Thank you Kristen. I'm really happy I'm looking forward to my blogging time again.. Much better than feeling stressed about it. Have a great week ๐
I'm glad you're feeling more relaxed and I definitely know how you feel about not wanting to let the blog down! I'm exactly the same! Have a great week and happy reading!

Thank you Laura. I hope you have a great week too ๐
Sometimes a break is all it takes to get back to normal! I took a break for pretty much all of October (or was it September), just to make sure I didn't pressure myself into blogging. After that, it went much better again.
I celebrated my birthday this week, so I had a pretty good week.
Happy reading!

I definitely think a break is good sometimes. Already I feel much better and I'm looking forward to my blogging time again. That's definitely better than how I was feeling last week ๐
Have a great week!
I've had a really long week as well. I didn't get much reading done because of my work I had due this week at school and my blog post weren't as personal as I would have liked.
I spent Valentine's Day with my boyfriend. We went to see Deadpool! Funniest movie I've seen in such a long time.
Ow.. Deadpool!! I really need to see that movie too. I hear so many great things about that one!
I hope you have more reading time this week ๐
A breather is just what we need sometimes. Enjoy your new week, and thanks for visiting my blog. I am curious about The Miracle Morning.
Thank you Laurel. This week is going good so far ๐
Happy reading!
Welcome back to blogging! Haha! Sometimes we all need a break. No shame in that! I hope you enjoy your new books! Beloved Poison definitely looks interesting!

Welcome back to blogging a break can always help you get back in the mood. The weather has me in a lazy mood but I hope to get back to it soon. I love my blog and hate when I don't feel like it ๐
I hope you have a great week! Happy Reading!
Thank you Michelle. I definitely feel much better and more relaxed. The break was hard.. but now I'm really looking forward to my blogging time again.
Enjoy your week! ๐
How was skiing?!?!?! It sounds wonderful! I haven't been out on the slopes in years!! I'm totally jealous!
And honestly, I love leaving my blog for a few days because I get so inspired whenever I get back to it ๐ No stress, girl!!!!
Happy Valentine's day!!!!!!
Skiing was great. I had a great time and although there wasn't a lot of snow.. The slopes were good enough.
I definitely feel more inspired! ๐
Have a great week!
The skiing sounds fun. Don't beat yourself up about not blogging much. It's good to take a break and come back eager to post, even if it's hard to take that break.
My Sunday Post – http://fuonlyknew.com/2016/02/14/whats-new-on-my-bookshelf-147-and-the-sunday-post/
Thanks Laura. I really try not be so hard on myself. I do feel much better this week.
Have a great reading week ๐
I hope you are feeling better and it is good to take a break once in a while. My job has been stressful so I don't blog every day. I also felt like I was letting my blog down but it feels good to not have to stress about posts. You can only do what you can and don't worry about it. I hope you have a good week and find some time to relax =)
Thank you Kathy. I definitely feel a lot better this week. I do feel like I had more reading time and although I don't have posts for every day of the week.. I feel pretty good about it.
Have a great week ๐
I tried blogging daily at one point but it was just too much and really made no difference to my readership numbers. I aim for 3-4 posts now which I can mostly manage without getting too stressed.
Don't be too hard on yourself!
Thanks Deborah. 3-4 posts a week definitely sounds like a good goal. I think I need to adjust my goals a little. I do feel much better about my blog this week.. So having a little blog break definitely was a good thing.
Have a great week. ๐
I totally understand the need you felt from taking a break from blogging. It can sometimes be stressful having that commitment when you come home from work and it can make you burn out pretty fast. I know I felt that way from time to time. I work at health care as well, so I get the night shifts and weekend work thing. So it's important to take breaks. Glad you're feeling better. Hope you have a great reading week!
Nightshifts and working the weekends definitely aren't the best thing for reading. Especially the nightshift.. I always feel like time is going by without me.. LOL!!
I definitely feel a lot better! ๐
It's never good to feel stressed, particularly over something that is a hobby. I know how that is though, sometimes it feels like more of an obligation than anything else. I hope that you're able to gain some useful tools from The Miracle Morning ๐
Thank you. I already feel a lot better.. Hopefully The Miracle Morning will help me out even more.
Have a great week ๐
I think taking a break every now and then is important, Maureen, and I'm glad you're feeling more like yourself again, and that blogging is simply a pleasure, not a chore!
I hope The Miracle Morning will help you relaxing more, and that you'll enjoy your other new books as well.
Have a wonderful week and happy reading.

Thank you Lexxie. I really do feel a lot better now. ๐
Oh yeah, coming out of the night shift can really feel as if you've worked that extra day. And to be fair, you kind of do because your Monday is already set by it. Good to hear you are feeling better and that your blogging break has helped.
Yep.. Nightshifts really can be hard on you. Sigh.. I have to work the nightshift again this Monday! :s
Thank you. I do feel a lot better.
