https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/22877856-breaking-loveThe next wonderfully romantic read from MJ Summers,
bestselling author of ‘Break In Two’.

Luc Chevalier is a satisfied man – or so he thinks. His
businesses are thriving, he has all the excitement, money and beautiful women
any man could want. He dines at the best restaurants and stays at the most
luxurious hotels as he makes his way around the globe. So why does he suddenly
find himself so restless?
Megan Sullivan is a single mom with a rather ordinary
life. She is comfortable with things just the way they are. She has a
six-year-old son, Elliott, a cozy house in Boulder, Colorado, and a photography
business to put food on the table. Megan is on her own and she intends to keep
it that way.
But when Megan is convinced by her best friend to take a
trip to Paris, she’s thrust into the arms of Luc Chevalier, the sexiest man to
ever set foot on the Eiffel Tower. They agree to one night together and no
more. In those few short hours he manages to draw out the passionate woman that
Megan has carefully hidden way for years. Once she has a taste of what she’s
been missing, she finds it almost impossible to go back to her life as it was.
Will two people who don’t believe in happily-ever-after
manage to put aside their doubts and find their forever?

My Review:

I
received ‘Breaking Love’ by MJ Summers through the Little Brown Book Group in
exchange for an honest review. I read the description of this book and immediately
was excited about reading it.
In ‘Breaking
Love’ we meet single mom Megan. Megan is in her mid-thirties and is
singlehandedly taking care of her 6 year old son. Megan left her husband years
ago after his addiction with drugs got out of hand. Now Megan is taking care of
her son, working hard to establish her own business and also taking care of the
household. Megan has completely sworn of man and romance. When Megan gets
invited to visit her best-friend in Paris she is thrilled with the prospect of
doing something for herself. After her mom convinces her to go and have fun in
Paris, Megan grabs her stuff and meets her friend in the city-of-love.
Luc
Chevalier is a French powerful billionaire and he is well known for being a
womanizer. Luc is in his early forties and he never wanted woman to stay longer
than a day. But then Luc meets Megan, and he is blown away by her kindness, beauty,
stubbornness and perseverance. Megan is immediately taken away by Luc’s
handsome face and French accent but she knows she has to stay away from him. But
soon Megan and Luc’s life changes forever and a new adventure begins.
‘Breaking
Love’ was from the beginning on a very easy book to read and to get into. Right
from the very first page I felt like I knew the characters. They felt really
real to me.
I love
books about strong independent woman and Megan definitely fits this description.
Megan lives her life for her son and she does everything to make this little
guy happy. From the moment I read about Megan’s past I could completely
understand why she is the way she is. I felt an immediate connection with her
and it made this book even better.
This
book is written from both Megan and Luc’s point of view. I loved that. This
book was very passionate and I really enjoyed it. Especially the parts where
Luc started talking French. I mean OMG… who doesn’t like the sound of a
handsome man talking French.?!
The
character I loved the most in this book was definitely Megan. She was just so
strong and a great example for her son. Even though Megan forgets a little to live
her own life she works so hard to make up for the mistakes her ex-husband made.
I found her very admirable. I honestly cheered when Megan went to Paris to have
some fun for herself.
And the
thing I love the most about this book was the passion between Megan and Luc. They
both had their fears and this made them very real to me. I loved the
interactions between them and their where plenty of sexy scenes.
This was
definitely a nice and enjoyable read for me. A perfect book to read on the
couch with a blanket and surrounded by candle light.
