Today I’m excited to participate in the Release Blitz of ‘Show of Honor’ by Tawna Fenske. This is a Juniper Ridge Holiday Novella, and it’s out TODAY!!
I’ve never read a book by Tawna Fenske before, but when I read the book description of this novella I definitely loved the sound of it. So when I received an ARC, I was excited to start reading.
In ‘Show of Honor’ we read the story of Joe and Jessie. Joe and Jessie met last year at Christmas, and after an amazing night without exchanging names of contact information they both went on with their life. But they both thought about each other a lot. Especially when Jessie found herself being pregnant. Now, a year later they accidentally meet again and when Joe sees Jessie and sees his little girl for the first time, he knows he wants to be in their lives. Not for a night, but forever.
‘Show of Honor’ was definitely a fun read I enjoyed. The romance between Joe and Jessie was fun to read, and I loved their chemistry. I’m not always a fan of the surprise baby trope, but in this book it worked. To be honest, I found the moments between Joe and his little girl definitely the best of this book.
The two main characters Joe and Jessie where definitely amazing. I loved how fierce and tough Jessie was. She was a mom, and did everything for her little girl. But she also wanted to work, and I loved reading her story. Especially her struggles, because I could really relate with them as a mom myself.
And Joe was just very loveable. Kind, handsome, and his relationship with his moms.. I loved it.
‘Show of Honor’ was a short read that made me want to read more in this series. We read a bit about the other characters in this previous books.. and I’m definitely curious now.

I think that the surprise baby trope only works for me when there is no way for the woman to let the man know or if it would be dangerous. This sounds really good!
I totally agree. And in this book it definitey more than worked 😉
