Each full-length novel will release three weeks apart starting on March 6, 2018. *** Two broken people in a city fueled by sin. Maddie isn’t looking to be saved. She knows the only person you can count on is yourself. Her moral compass might not point true North these days—but at least she’s still standing. The Military taught Tyler about loyalty. Being there for your brothers is the only thing that matters—but when it mattered most, he wasn’t. She’s got a ticket straight to Hell. He’s already been there and back. She needs to win. He just needs to stop fighting. Some sins scar your soul so deeply, you'll never be the same. But this Devil in disguise might just be the angel he needs to forgive himself.

A little while ago I won signed copies of the complete Original Sin series. Obviously I was over the moon to get my hands on these pretty looking signed books. But I’ve never read a book by J.A. Huss or Johnathan McClain before, so I didn’t really know if these books would be for me. Since I’ve heard so many great things about these authors and this series I couldn’t wait to start reading. Would this book live up to my expectations?

Well, this book was something else. It’s dark and twisty and it just has something that makes you want to keep on reading. In ‘Sin With Me’ we follow Maddie and Tyler. Every chapter is written from each ones point of view, or alternates between their different point of views. This was definitely something that really worked well for this book, because it made you feel like you were inside their heads or sitting on there shoulder. But Maddie and Tyler are difficult characters to read about. They are both messed up by life. Maddie is working in a strip club, trying to get her new business started and Tyler is spending his money (which he has a lot) trying to forget. Somehow these two meet and they feel connected through their misery.

Like I said before, this book was dark and twisty. And I’m still not completely sure I really enjoyed this book. Yes, it made me want to keep on reading and so I read this book in less than a day. And yes, I’m definitely going to read the next book in this series because I really want to know what will happen next. But boy… this is not my usual happy romance read. Maddie and Tyler both been through hell, and still are going through it at times. I almost felt like crying for them at times. They both had so much going for them. A college degree, a great job. They are both so smart but somehow life just went bad.

The sex in this book is just a little too dark and twisty for me, and I really missed the romance. But there is a promise in this book.. A promise there will be romance. So I’m definitely going to keep on reading. After a little break that is. I definitely have to get some happy reads in between to keep me going.

Overall this book was definitely interesting. The writing was intense, but pretty damn good. And that cover.. Wow!! I love the way this book looks.. and I have a signed copy.. So I can’t stop looking. But how to rate a book you want to keep on reading, but are not sure you really loved? Hmm.. that’s a hard one. I’ll go with three stars for now!

J.A. Huss never wanted to be a writer and she still dreams of that elusive career as an astronaut. She originally went to school to become an equine veterinarian but soon figured out they keep horrible hours and decided to go to grad school instead. That Ph.D wasn’t all it was cracked up to be (and she really sucked at the whole scientist thing), so she dropped out and got a M.S. in forensic toxicology just to get the whole thing over with as soon as possible. After graduation she got a job with the state of Colorado as their one and only hog farm inspector and spent her days wandering the Eastern Plains shooting the shit with farmers. After a few years of that, she got bored. And since she was a homeschool mom and actually does love science, she decided to write science textbooks and make online classes for other homeschool moms. She wrote more than two hundred of those workbooks and was the number one publisher at the online homeschool store many times, but eventually she covered every science topic she could think of and ran out of shit to say. So in 2012 she decided to write fiction instead. That year she released her first three books and started a career that would make her a New York Times bestseller and land her on the USA Today Bestseller’s List eighteen times in the next three years. Her books have sold millions of copies all over the world, the audio version of her semi-autobiographical book, Eighteen, was nominated for a Voice Arts Award and an Audie award in 2016 and 2017 respectively, her audiobook Mr. Perfect was nominated for a Voice Arts Award in 2017, and her book, Taking Turns, was nominated for an Audie Award in 2018. Johnathan McClain is her first (and only) writing partner and even though they are worlds apart in just about every way imaginable, it works. For more information about J.A. Huss please visit her website. Or follow her on Facebook and Twitter.
