told you guys many times before my favorite books are the Harry Potter series.
I’ve read the first book when I was eight years old, so that’s definitely my
favorite book as a child. But since I’ve talked about Harry Potter so many
times before. I’d like to share with you guys another book I’ve loved as a
child.
One of my
favorite books as a child was ‘Matilda’ by Roald Dahl. Boy did I love that
book. I’ve read it several times, and I could never get enough. I just loved
Mathilda, and I so wanted to be her. Being able to read that fast and that
good, was just something I was really envious about. And I loved the look of
the Dutch version of the book.
reading ‘Matilda’ I also loved ‘James and the Giant Peach’, ‘The BFG’, ‘The
Witches’ and ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ by Roald Dahl. I still have
those books standing on my shelves. These were definitely the books that made me fall in
love with reading when I was growing up.

I didn't read Matilda until I became a teacher and used it in my class. I watched the movie from the 90s and I loved Matilda and Miss Honey! I don't think Roald Dahl was favored much by my district's teachers because none of his books were ever read as part of the curriculum. I really loved the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
I haven't heard about The Little House series before. Roald Dahl definitely was an author which books I was encouraged to read. And I loved them all.
The Movie made of Mathilda was amazing. I loved watching that one!
Thanks for visiting! 😉
I don't think I've ever read Matilda. I remember reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Judy Blume was another favorite. The Boxcar Children was a great series, too.
Matilda definitely was a great book to read as a child. I never read a Judy Blume book. Sounds fun.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your favorite.
I was just thinking earlier today that I need to read Roald Dahl to my kids. We are about to head back to school, and we've been terrible about reading over the summer. I need to get them back into the groove. I didn't read Roald Dahl growing up so it would be my first time experiencing them, too.
You really should. I think Roald Dahl is great for kids. I loved reading his books when I was growing up. I still have some awesome memories of reading these books. I hope you guys enjoy them 😉

I remember James and the Giant Peach, but I think they read it to us at school? I didn't actually have it. I have fond memories of Roald Dahl so must have liked it!
I bet you liked it!! 😉 I loved Roald Dahl when I was growing up!
Thanks for stopping by!
Mathilda was one of my favorite books as well, I think I still have a dutch copy of the book. And I re-read it multiple times :).
The Dutch copy is really beautiful! I still have it too 😉
