See the world of Fifty Shades of Grey anew through the
eyes of Christian Grey.

In Christian’s own words, and through his thoughts, reflections, and dreams, E
L James offers a fresh perspective on the love story that has enthralled
millions of readers around the world.

Christian Grey exercises control in all things; his world is neat, disciplined,
and utterly empty—until the day that Anastasia Steele falls into his office, in
a tangle of shapely limbs and tumbling brown hair. He tries to forget her,
but instead is swept up in a storm of emotion he cannot comprehend and cannot
resist. Unlike any woman he has known before, shy, unworldly Ana seems to
see right through him—past the business prodigy and the penthouse lifestyle to
Christian’s cold, wounded heart.

Will being with Ana dispel the horrors of his childhood that haunt Christian
every night? Or will his dark sexual desires, his compulsion to control, and
the self-loathing that fills his soul drive this girl away and destroy the
fragile hope she offers him?

This book is intended for mature audiences.

My Review:

I’ve read the Fifty Shades of Grey series a view years
ago, and really loved it. A lot of people have their opinions about these
books. Most opinions are good, some are bad, and a view people haven’t even
read the books and feel like they can judge this series. I’ve read this series
two times now, and I love this series. Not because of the sex, but because I
can see past the sex and see a romantic story between two people falling in
love. One person who has had a very hard start in life and isn’t used to the ‘normal’
way of having a relationship. So when ‘Grey’, the first book told by Christian’s
point of view, came out, I immediately bought a copy. I waited a long time to
read it, because for one my reading schedule was very busy, but also because I
just wanted to have a nice book to look forward to. But now it was definitely
time, and I started reading.
‘Grey’ is the same story as the first book ‘Fifty Shades
of Grey’, but this time it’s told from Christian’s point of view, which
definitely made this book exciting and new to read. And I loved it. I loved
reading everything through Christians eyes. There is so much going on with his
character, that you just don’t get to see by only reading the other books. It
was fun to read what his thoughts were. Christian is a very insecure character.
And although I always thought he would be, I loved reading how good, kind and
insecure he really was.
The best part about this book was definitely the way
Christian was trying to understand his feelings for Anastacia. It was just so
touching, and he really was a lot sweeter and kinder than I thought he was when
I first read ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’. It was nice to read about his struggles
with his feelings for Anastacia. His character became much more ‘real’.
The only thing that did bother me a little was the
business talk Christian had with his employers. I understand why those parts
had to be in the book, but they were a little boring at times. And I could have
done without them.
I definitely enjoyed this book, and I’m looking forward
to read the other two books through Christian’s point of view.
