About ‘The Seduction of Esther’ (Women of Valor #1):

Samara Goldberg has a problem even the most beautiful
singing voice can’t fix. She’s a walking disaster, especially when she’s around
handsome men. To make matters worse, she’s in desperate need of someone to play
the character of Mordecai for the Purim spiel she’s producing and the new
congregant, Nathaniel Abramson, is a perfect fit. Nathaniel is a divorced dad
who’s recovering from the biggest public scandal of his life. The last thing he
needs is a relationship with the choir director at his new synagogue, who also
happens to be playing the lead female role of Esther in the very play he’s been
coerced into joining.
Woven around the Jewish holiday of Purim, The Seduction
of Esther is a story of two people whose lives mirror the plot of the Purim
story. Like Esther, who had to hide her Jewish identity from the King of
Persia, Samara and Nathaniel are hiding key pieces of themselves. Evil Haman
wanted to destroy the Jews, and the nasty Josh will do anything to keep Samara
and Nathaniel apart. Will their love survive, like the Jewish people in
Shushan, Persia, or will their fear keep them apart?
‘The Seduction of Esther’ is available through Amazon,
Barnes & Noble and All Romance Ebooks

About ‘Miriam’s Surrender’ (Women of Valor #2):

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23252775-miriam-s-surrender?from_search=true&search_version=service_imprJosh Lowenstein is a successful architect, hired to
redesign the alumni club of a posh, private school in New York. He is strong,
capable and knows the best way to do everything. Except let another woman in.

Miriam Goldberg is the Assistant Director of Outreach,
and is Josh’s day-to-day contact for the redesign. She’s taken care of everyone
around her, and forgotten how to let someone else take care of her.
With a tumultuous history, neither one is prepared to
work together. As they get to know each other, the animosity disappears, but
Josh is hiding something from Miriam and its discovery has the possibility of
destroying their relationship. Only when they are both able to let the other
in, and release some of the control they exert over everything, will they be
able to see if their love can survive.
‘Miriam’s Surrender’ is available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and All Romance Ebooks.

About ‘A Heart of Little Faith’:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23526297-a-heart-of-little-faithLily Livingston is a widow raising her six-year-old
daughter, Claire, in New York City. Devastated by her husband’s death three
years ago, she’s in no hurry to fall in love again. Besides, trying to balance
her career with motherhood leaves her little time for romance.

With a wheelchair instead of a white horse, and a vow against falling in love
again as his armor, Gideon Stone is the last person Lily expects to sweep her
off her feet. But when a business agreement forces the two of them together,
that is exactly what happens.

As they navigate the minefield that fast represents their relationship, can
either of them overcome the obstacles to find true happiness in each other’s
arms? The answer is yes, but the bumps along the way demonstrate that neither
of them can go it alone.

‘A Heart of Little Faith’ is available through Amazon

About ‘Skin Deep’:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13009745-skin-deep?from_search=true&search_version=service_imprThe last thing Valerie needs, after escaping an abusive
marriage to an alcoholic and rebuilding her life, is a broody, secretive,
standoffish man. But that’s exactly what she gets when she becomes a makeup
artist on the set of a hit sitcom and draws the attention of the series’ star.

John Samuels hides a terrible past—a life of abuse and neglect. A successful
acting career and the affection and support of cast, crew and friends, does
nothing to convince him that he is anything other than an unlovable monster.

Will he learn that the life he’s been living has been built on a lie or will he
be doomed to repeat the sins of his father?
‘Skin Deep is available through Amazon.

Guest Post by Jennifer Wilck:

I’d like to thank Maureen for hosting me today.
‘Miriam’s Surrender’ is the second book in my series, Women
of Valor. What makes this series unique is that while the books are
contemporary romance, they all incorporate Jewish themes and holidays into
their stories.
The first book, ‘The Seduction of Esther’, revolved around
the holiday of Purim, which is a joyous holiday that takes place in the early
spring. It celebrates the saving of the Jews of Persia and we dress up, eat and
drink.
‘Miriam’s Surrender’ revolves around the holiday of
Passover. Passover is another spring holiday, which usually takes place around
Easter and celebrates the escape of the Hebrews from the Pharaoh in Egypt.
One of the major themes of Purim is hiding one’s
identity. The heroine in the Purim story, Esther, pretends she’s not Jewish in
order to catch the attention of the King, marry him, trap the villainous Haman
and ultimately save the Jews. Talk about a great story! And hiding one’s
identity provides a great conflict for a romance novel.
Passover’s major theme is freedom. The Hebrews escaped
from slavery by crossing the Reed Sea with Moses. Freedom is another great
theme for romance novels. While none of my characters have escaped slavery, my
hero, Josh, has escape his past in order to move into the future and win
Miriam’s love.
While not all of my books incorporate Jewish themes, I
began writing this series to fill a need that I saw in romance. Most books are
inherently Christian. The hero and heroine get married in a church. The holiday
they celebrate together where they meet each other’s families is Christmas.
Before the Thanksgiving meal, everyone says grace.
I love reading these books and the warmth conveyed spills
over to me. I have no problem with books that incorporate religions other than
my own. But I do think that diversity is important, and occasionally, I think
it would be nice to see examples of other religions. That’s why I wrote this
series.
I hope you enjoy it!

About the Author:

Jennifer started telling herself stories as a little girl
when she couldn’t fall asleep at night. As an adult, she started writing them
down and after several years of writing, editing and querying publishers, she’s
a multi-published author. Her favorite stories to write are those with smart,
sassy, independent heroines; handsome, strong and slightly vulnerable heroes;
and always end with happily ever after.
When she’s not writing, she loves spending time with her
family and friends, reading, traveling and watching TV. She volunteers with her
Temple and is also a freelance writer for magazines, newspapers and
newsletters.
She writes contemporary romance, some of which are
mainstream and some of which involve Jewish characters and holidays. All are
published by Rebel Ink Press and are available through Amazon, Barnes &
Noble and AllRomanceEbooks.
