About the Book:

The second novel in the Nova series by number one New
York Times bestselling author, Jessica Sorensen.

Nova Reed can’t forget him — Quinton Carter, the boy with the honey-brown eyes
who made her realize she deserved more than an empty life. His pain was so
similar to her own. But Nova has been coming to terms with her past and
healing, while Quinton is out there somewhere, sinking deeper. She’s determined
to find him and help him . . . before it’s too late.

Nova has haunted his dreams for nearly a year, but Quinton never thought a
sweet, kind person like her would care enough about someone like him. To Quinton,
a dark, dangerous life is exactly what he deserves. And Nova has no place in
it. But Nova has followed him, and now he must do whatever it takes to keep her
away, to maintain his self-imposed punishment for the unforgivable things he’s
done. But there’s one flaw in his plan: Nova isn’t going anywhere . . .

My Review:

A little while I ago I read the first book in the Nova
series called ‘Breaking Nova’. I loved that book and I couldn’t stop reading.
So when I received the second book in this series ‘Saving Quinton’ a view weeks
ago I was super excited and I couldn’t wait to start reading it.
‘Saving Quinton’ begins a view months after where
‘Breaking Nova’ ended. Nova has almost finished her first year of college and
her life has started getting better. But there is always one thing Nova can’t
seem to forget and that is Quinton. Quinton Carter, the boy Nova met last
summer and who made her feel alive for this first time in months. She felt such
a connection with him but had to leave him behind to get herself back on the
right track. Now that Nova feels better and is able to talk about her past, she
only wants to do one thing, find Quinton. But Quinton is not the same guy he
was last summer. He hasn’t forgotten Nova, not in the slightest, but he tries
to, every single day.
I love Jessica Sorensen and the way she writes these
heartbreaking, honest, real and passionate stories. A view months ago I totally
fell in love with Nova and Quinton and the way they found each other. Today,
after reading ‘Saving Quinton’ I can honestly say that I love them even more.
This book is filled with raw emotion and reading through the pages makes you
feel so many things.
Quinton is in a very dark place and Nova just wants to
get him out. I totally felt the struggle Nova was going through. I wanted to
yell besides her towards Quinton and just tell him to get his life back
together. I cried with Nova when everything felt hopeless. Boy, this book just
is a rollercoaster and it’s incredible good.
The characters in ‘Saving Quinton’ just feel so real to
me. They aren’t perfect, they have many flaws but that makes them so much more
realistic to me. They fight, they struggle, they lose and sometimes they win.
This second book in the Breaking Nova series seriously just made me want to
pull my hair out. It was much too short. I just hadn’t got enough of Quinton
and Nova yet. And now we have to wait for the next book to be published before
we know what happens next with Quinton and Nova. That’s just torture!!
Great job again Jessica Sorensen! Now back in your
writing zone because I just can’t wait to read more books in this series! 😉
