of weeks ago I received ‘A Silent Prayer’ by Samreen Ahsan in exchange for an
honest review. When I first read the Blurb of this book I was honestly nog
quiet sure if this book was really something for me. I’m not religious and when
I read words like blessings, God and soul I was a little afraid that this book
would be to religious for me. But I still wanted to give this book a try. And
I’m so happy I did.
Silent Prayer’ we meet Adam Gibson a young and handsome multi-millionaire who
lives in Toronto. Gibson is the youngest business mogul of Canada and whatever
he wants, he gets. Gibson uses woman for his pleasure and he doesn’t believe in
relationships. That is until he meets Rania Ahmed. Rania is a twenty-five year
old Senior Creative Designer with a very bad and haunting past. Rania doesn’t want anything to do with men
and she keeps every guy at arm’s length. But from the moment Adam meets Rania
he is enchanted by her beauty and personality. Adam won’t stop until he can
call Rania his. But Adam soon finds out that Rania is very stubborn, don’t
cares for money and doesn’t fall for his charms. At least that is what he
thinks. Not only Rania’s past keeps her from opening up to Adam. Rania is
Muslim and has a strong believe in God. Adam at the other hand is an Atheist
who only believes in himself. But still Adam can’t stop thinking about Rania
and will do anything to be with her.
moment I started reading this book I was completely hooked. Samreen Ahsan is a
very passionate writer and I quickly fell in love with this story and the
characters. I seriously couldn’t stop reading. I wanted and needed to know what
would happen next. This book was not only very romantic but it was also very
exciting and funny. For example the part where two characters are discussing a
certain handsome professor who lives in Toronto. I immediately knew what book
they were talking about so I giggled along with them. This book was just very
addicting.
character I liked the most was definitely Rania. Although I’m not religious at
all I really liked her passion for her believe. She doesn’t care what other
people think, her faith is strong and nobody can change this about her. But she
also doesn’t try to get other people to believe in what she does. She chooses
to tell Adam about her believes but she doesn’t try to change him into
believing. And I really liked that about her.
not only Adam’s point of view but also Rania’s. You really get to know both
characters. I love that.
I really loved this story (maybe you didn’t know that
through reading my review :p) and its definitely going on my favorite list. I
honestly can’t believe this book hasn’t got more publicity. This book should be
lying in all the bookstores so everyone can read it. I can’t wait to read the
next book about Adam and Rania.
