After reading ‘Rebel’ by Laura Pavlov in January, I decided I really wanted to read more books by this author. So when I saw the sign up for ‘Tangled’ I immediately signed up for it. Although ‘Tangled’ is book two in the Willow Springs series, it is a standalone.

Forbidden bad boy. Best friend's little sister. An undeniable attraction. He's determined to push her away. She's determined to stay. I’ve known Gray Baldwin my entire life. He’s an arrogant frat boy with a red Solo cup permanently attached to his hand. And he’s my brother’s best friend. He’s made it his personal mission to annoy me and when he sets his mind to something, he rarely fails. But when Gray and I end up at the same college, we can’t seem to stay away from one another. I’m supposed to hate him, but when I’m alone with Gray, everything changes. It turns out there is more to this boy than I ever knew. Our attraction is something that can’t be extinguished. But Gray is determined to push me away. And I’m determined to stay.

In ‘Tangled’ we meet Gigi. Gigi is starting college and she wants to make  the best of her college experience. She wants to party with her friends and meet new guys. But unfortunately, she goes to the same college as the guy she grew up with: her brother’s best friend Gray. And Gray is determined to keep every guy away from Gigi. She is to good for these college guys. As an handsome frat boy himself, he knows these things.

It had been a while since I read a book about people in college. I was a little afraid I wouldn’t like it as much as I used too, but from the moment I started reading I was hooked. Gigi and Gray have a chemistry between them that you could feel from the very first page. Although they argue a lot in the beginning, it is clear that they really care for each other. And I loved getting to know them and reading how they slowly grew closer despite Gray being her brothers best friend.

The best thing in this book for me was definitely Gray’s character. I loved that guy. Although he is a major player, and he has been with a lot of girls.. Gigi has always been special to him. He is very protective of her and he soon realizes he feels more for him than just friendship. But he fights his attraction to her every step of the way. It made for some great and intense moments in this book.

‘Tangled’ is written through both Gigi and Gray’s point of view, and I loved that. I was so fun to read both their thoughts. And I really loved getting to know them and reading how they slowly grew closer and closer. There even was a bit of suspense packed inside this story. Definitely a fun little extra.

Next to a sweet and fun romance, I loved reading about Gigi and her four girlfriends from Willow Springs. Every book in this series is about one of these friends, and I loved reading a little about these other girls. It definitely made me curious about the other books in the series.

I’ve always loved small town and brother’s best friend romance stories, and this one was no exception. I loved it from the moment I started and I’m looking forward to reading more stories in this series. ‘Tangled’ is a perfect read for a nice summer day.
