When I received a review request a little while ago by Ana Huang and read the book description of ‘If We Ever Meet Again’, I knew this was a book I wanted to read. As a huge romance lover, this book just sounded so good. And then that cover… I mean wow!! Don’t you just love that cover?!

One year, two opposites, and a love that will blindside and, ultimately, shatter them. She’s an aspiring interior designer who dreams of falling in love. He’s an ex-football star who thinks love is a con. She’s a virgin, and he doesn’t do virgins. He’s cocky, infuriating, and not her type. She wants the fairytale. He wants freedom. Blake and Farrah shouldn’t have fallen for each other the way they did: totally, completely, and irrevocably. Because they’re studying abroad in Shanghai, and they only have one year. Because forces at home threaten to rip them apart, even if they don’t know it yet. And because, eventually, they must face the most heartbreaking lesson they’ll ever learn: sometimes, even the greatest love can’t conquer all.

‘If We Ever Meet Again’ is the story of Farrah and Blake. Two total opposites who meet when they are both in China for a study year abroad. They don’t have a lot in common and they both have totally different lives. But opposites attract and they have an instant connection with each other. And slowly on they grow closer and closer.

This book was definitely a lot of fun to read. I loved getting to know Farrah and Blake. Two totally different characters, and an immediate connection they both not really understand right away.  They have a chemistry between them, that you can easily feel coming of the pages. And I definitely enjoyed their romance.

The writing in this book is easy to read and the setting is amazing. I think this is one of my first reads that took place in China, and I loved reading about that country a little more. It was so fun to read about their trip to the Chinese wall for example,  that part was definitely very original.

Their where also a lot of side characters, and other friendships throughout this book that made for an interesting read. I wouldn’t be me if I had a little trouble keeping all these characters a part, but it didn’t bother me.

Some parts in this story felt a little slow to me though. And I could easily predict what was going to happen for most of the book. But this didn’t bother me that much. The end was a bit confusing.. I just wished Blake would have communicated better with Farah. But if there is one thing that this book did perfectly.. Is making me want to read the next book.

‘If We Ever Meet Again’ is the first book in a duet and I definitely can’t wait to read book two. I really enjoyed this charming romantic story.
