My Review:

A little while ago I woke up feeling like I needed to
change something in my life. I was having these pains all of sudden. One day I
was having neck pains, the next back pains, one time I even fainted in the
kitchen and I was just feeling unhealthy. Since I was never really sporty, and
I really like things that are bad for you like fries, hamburgers etc. I really
felt like I was neglecting myself. I’m not overweight but I did feel like I was
just going the wrong way and I desperately wanting to do something about it.
But what?
With a job as a Nurse, working all kinds of different
shifts I can’t really do diets because my schedule is really messed up
sometimes, and eating a salad in the middle of the night isn’t really tasty if
you ask me. I need something that keeps me going even on strange hours.
Sporting is also difficult at times because I’m never
free on the same day each week. So what to do? I went searching on the internet
for a book or site that could help me change my life and soon I found ‘The
Feelgood Plan’ by Dalton Wong. This sounded like a good book and I decided to
buy it.
‘The Feelgood Plan’ is the first lifestyle/diet/exercise
book I’ve got and I must say that I’m really a fan of this book. The main
message in ‘The Feelgood Plan’ is that changing your lifestyle really is a
choice. It’s not really a dieting book, there are no real recipes but there are
many tips on how to eat healthy. There are some great tips, exercise ideas you
can do at home and the layout and pictures really make this a fun book to read.
The best part about this book is the way it really sounds
doable. Even for someone with a weird work schedule. I realize that I still
have to do the work but this book definitely makes eating healthy and working
out sound fun. Most of all it makes me feel like I can really change my
lifestyle.
At the end of the book there is a 12 week plan with more
tips and tricks. And there’s even room to write your own thoughts and goals.
After reading this book, and keeping it close to read
little bits when I want too, I’m eating healthier and sporting more for the
first time in my life. It’s still hard to change my ways, but this book really
keeps me motivated. And most importantly I found out that I really like eating
healthy food.. it taste good! And I still go out for dinner and Barbeque with
friends and family. So.. Great book if you ask me!
