About the Book:

ambitious lords to placate, they care more about her marriage prospects than
her unique abilities.

My Review:
haven’t been able to read many. Not only because I didn’t really have many new
fantasy novels, but also because I just didn’t feel like reading fantasy. I’m
not sure why. Sometimes I just don’t feel like reading fantasy.
Scale Lute’ for the blog tour I signed up for. And I was happy to find myself
being excited to read this fantasy book.
Lute’ is that gorgeous looking cover.. I mean wow!! That cover was the thing
that made me want to read what this book was all about. I love the feel you get
by looking at that cover. Asian culture, martial arts and a strong female
character.. To me that’s what this cover is making you see and it sure fits the
story.
all it definitely made me want to read more fantasy again.
the different point of views throughout this book. The world building in this
book was very good and it kept me fascinated and in need for more until the
very end. I also loved the whole music part in this book.
at times where the many Asian names. Like I’ve said before in some reviews, I
have this thing with names that makes it really hard for me to keep every
character apart. I did write the names down this time, and the book did
have this ‘Who’s Who..’ chapter that really helped me out.. But I still had to
keep checking my list at times. I hate that I have this trouble with names.
It’s so frustrating.
kind of expected more romance, just because of the cover. And I really didn’t
expect that ending.

The names can be difficult in fantasy, but especially for cultures in Asia and SE Asia. I know I'm not saying them right in my head but for the most part I can just go with it. I'm glad that you enjoyed this one mostly. Thanks so much for hosting a tour stop!
You're very welcome. It definitely was a fun read 😉
