Welcome to the Wednesday’s Favorites post. In the Wednesday’s
Favorites post I will talk about a book I loved and that I think deserves a
little more attention. I read popular books, but also many books that aren’t so
popular (yet). In this post all sorts of books from all sorts of genre’s will have
a chance to shine. Today’s Wednesday’s Favorites is ‘The Chateau on the Lake’ by Charlotte Betts, a book I read in May 2015.
The Book:
novel set during the time of the French Revolution; rich, evocative and
immersive. If you love Philippa Gregory and Joanne Harris, you will adore
Charlotte Betts.

About the Author:
Charlotte Betts began her working life as a fashiondesigner in London. A career followed in interior design, property management
and lettings. Charlotte discovered her passion for writing after her three
children and two step-children grew up.
YouWriteOn Book of the Year Award in 2010 and the Joan Hessayon Award for New
Writers, was shortlisted for the Best Historical Read at the Festival of
Romance in 2011 and won the coveted Romantic Novelists’ Association’s
