My Review:

I have read several books by Jayne Ann Krentz written
under her pseudonyms Jayne Castle and Amanda Quick. And I really loved these
books. So when I received ‘Secret Sisters’ I was super excited to start reading.
Especially since I love mystery and suspense books, and this book sounded like
a great suspense novel.
In ‘Secret Sisters’ we meet Madeline Chase. Madeline has
had a dark secret for more than 18 years. She never spoke about it and she always
made sure to keep other people at a distance. Madeline also hasn’t spoken to
her best friend, Daphne since that night all those years ago. Bu when Madeline’s
 grandmother suddenly dies, Madeline is
forced to go back to the island she left so suddenly all those years ago.
When Madeline arrives on the island, it becomes clear
that there are even more secrets on the island than she’d known and soon she is
in danger yet again. Madeline calls in the help of Jack Rayner, a security
expert that works for her hotel. Together with Jack, Madeline is determined to
finally get clear what happened all those years ago. But that also means to get
back in contact with Daphne.
This book was definitely a very good, interesting and intriguing
read. From the very beginning I was hooked to the pages and I found myself
getting more curious to the outcome of this book with every passing page. There
are a lot of secrets and I felt myself trying to figure out what was going on
together with the characters. The mystery really was that good and I also
really enjoyed getting to know the characters and the history of the island.
The main characters Madeline and Jack, were so much fun
to read about. Not only is there a lot of mystery going on, but there was also
romance.. And I really loved the romance between Madeline and Jack. It was so
honest and pure, and I was rooting for them the whole time. They both had a lot
of issues, but it became clear that they were going to figure things out
together.
The friendship between Madeline and Daphne was also
really fun to read. I loved the connection between these two ‘secret sisters’.
The best part about this book was that in the end, every
question had been answered. There were so many questions and I really was
afraid that I wouldn’t get all the answers, because that often happens in
suspense novels. But thankfully this book answered all my questions and it was
so much fun to read.
I definitely recommend this book. It’s a great romantic
suspense!
