New York Times and USA Today bestselling
author Lauren Dane brings us the third book in her hot and steamy Ink &
Chrome romance series.

The men of Twisted Steel are great with
their hands. And they’re not afraid to get dirty . . .

Mick Roberts, the newest partner at Twisted
Steel’s custom hotrod and motorcycle shop, looks like a man with everything.
But secretly he still craves the connection he lost when his best friend Adam
and the love of his life Jessilynn walked out. Then, he wasn’t ready for the pleasure
they promised. Now, things have changed.

Rich, powerful, and insatiable, Adam Gulati is used to getting what he wants.
And there’s nothing he wants more than Mick and Jessi. He hasn’t seen either in
over a year, but the second he sets eyes on them again his memories-and his
desires-can’t be denied.
After trying to live without them, Jessi
Franklin realized no one else can satisfy her like Adam and Mick. The three of
them need one another-in more ways than one. It’s time to stop pretending and
submit to the hunger they all share. But once they go down this road, there’s
no turning back. As deeply devoted as they are, no one knows what great bliss
their forbidden fantasy will find-or the price they may pay . . .

My Review:

‘Coming Back’ is the third book in the Ink & Chrome
series. I’ve read the previous two books and although I had a view problems
with these books, I really did enjoy them, so I was excited when ‘Coming Back’
was delivered at my house. And I really love the book covers by Piatkus,
especially since I’m a real tattoo fan myself. Those covers really deserve
looking at.

In ‘Coming Back’ we meet the third owner of the Twisted Steel
company Mick, and Jessilyn and Adam. Mick is a badass tattooed war veteran, who
just became shared owner of the hot and busy Twisted Steel, custom motorcycle
shop. On his celebration party of becoming an owner, Mick invites his
old girlfriend and boyfriend with the hope of restoring the relationship they
had years ago. A relationship they weren’t ready for all those years ago. Now Mick,
Jessilyn and Adam need to find a way back to each other and face the obstacles
they couldn’t face all those years ago.
Well.. Call me old fashioned but this book was a little
weird. This was a love story not only about a woman and a man, no there where a
woman and two man. And they all loved each other. Well.. I’m open for new
reading stuff.. but this really needed some getting used to. Especially since
there were a lot of sexy scenes with the three of them and also with just the
two man. Yep.. definitely different than my normal reads.
The characters Mick, Jessilyn and Adam were definitely
fun to get to know. Mick was this badass tattooed man who seemed all tough on
the outside but was sweet on the inside. Adam was this alpha male who really
took care of the people he loved. And Jessilyn was this really kind person who
loved with all her heart. They really were three interesting people.
So the characters were definitely nice, and it was fun to
get a glimpse of the main characters of the previous Ink & Chrome books,
but overall I just did not feel this book. I couldn’t connect with the
characters. Especially the beginning felt really weird to me. They all had been
apart for four years, and boom in one day they are back together and almost
living together. It felt rushed and it didn’t leave the reader time to get used
to this unusual relationship.
‘Coming Back’ was not a bad read, but there was just too
much to get used to for me to really enjoy it. And honestly, I just prefer the
two people relationships. Three just seems to crowded and awkward. And I also
really missed the whole Twisted Steel work related stuff, that was much more a
part of the story in the first two books and really made me love this series.
