Today I’m excited to participate in the Blog Tour of ‘Level
Up’ by Cathy Yardley. ‘Level Up’ is a Romantic Comedy and was published on
January 3rd 2016.
About the Book:
to get promoted to video game engineer– including create a fandom-based video
game in just three weeks. The only problem is, she can’t do it alone. Now, she
needs to strong-arm, cajole, and otherwise socialize with her video game
coworkers, especially her roommate, Adam, who’s always been strictly business
with her. The more they work together, though, the closer they get…
“one of the guys” until he agreed to help her with this crazy project. Now,
he’s thinking of her all the time… and certainly as something more than just a
roommate! But his last girlfriend broke up with him to follow her ambitions,
and he knows that Tessa is obsessed with getting ahead in the video game world.
Going from friends to something more is one hell of a challenge. Can Tessa and
Adam level up their relationship to love?
My Review:
book I needed to read. I really loved the idea of two geeky characters who
lived together. So I signed up for the tour and I was super excited to hear I
would be a part of the blog tour.
geeky woman who works hard to get her dream job: a videogame engineer. The Tessa
has been living with Adam for almost a year now. And the only thing they’ve
noticed about each other is that they work together and both are engineers. But
when Tessa’s best friend is telling her she really needs to get out more and
work for what she wants, Tessa decides to try and make more friends. When being
more friendly gets her the job of making a new videogame, Tessa really needs
the help of her colleagues and also Adam. But what Tessa didn’t expect was
getting to know Adam more and feeling more for him than just friendship.
was just so good I could have easily read another hundred chapters in this
book. From the moment I started reading, I really loved this book. Cathy
Yardley has a really fun writing style, that just makes you want to keep
reading. So I did, and before I knew it I finished reading this book. It was
just so much fun. And I loved reading about Tessa’s and Adam’s journey in
getting to know each other better. There interactions were so much fun to read
about and also really really sweet.
geeky romance part. It was just so fun and romantic and I really enjoyed
getting to know Tessa and Adam. Tessa’s job in a man’s world was also really
interesting to read about. I mean.. I’ve never heard about a woman working as a
videogame engineer, and Tessa really kicked ass as an engineer.
recommend. It’s fun, romantic, geeky and you can perfectly read this if you don’t
have a lot of time, because it’s not a very long book. I can’t wait to read
other books in this series.
My Rating:
About the Author:
she is probably cruising the Internet, sleeping or watching D-list movies and
adding to her unnatural mental store of character-actor trivia. She is a closet
fangirl for Supernatural, Sherlock, Doctor Who, and too many others to name.
Her family is considering performing an intervention for her addiction to pop
culture. Want to read more of her writing? Sign up for her notification list,
