responsibility for the mount’s starving inhabitants. She is also perturbed by
her surprising attraction to the ill-tempered Nicolas. Will she stay to learn

My Review:
The Watchmen’ is was intrigued. This book sounded different than other books I’ve
read, and that was definitely what made me interested in this book. So I signed
up for the blog tour and when I heard that I would be part of the blog tour I
was really excited.
seventeen year old American girl on a holiday in France to visit her father and
his new wife, but most of all to keep her little brother Jackson company.
Katelyn starts having Deja- vu moments, which is really weird considering she
has never been to Mont Saint Michel. When Katelyn notices that she is
being followed by two strange guys, who she never met, she is sure she is
seeing things. But before she can really think about it, more strange things
are happening and soon she finds herself, without her brother, in a very
strange looking Mont Saint Michel.
she travelled through time to save Mont Saint Michel, Katelyn is sure
they most have made a mistake and that she’s having a bad dream. But Katelyn is
soon forced to realize that there is a reason for her time traveling and she is
truly the one who can save Mont Saint Michel.
really knew what to expect. From the very beginning I loved Kathleen C. Perrin’s
writing style, it is fun to read and there is a lot of humor to her writing. But
when the story began going about Katelyn’s deja-vu moments, and an Archangel
who was talking to her, I became a little worried. I’m not a religious person,
and I was afraid this book would be more about religion and the bible. But
because the writing was so fun, I kept reading. And I’m so glad I did, because
this book was amazing. There are some religious aspects about this book, but
not so much it bothered me or that I didn’t understand it. Most of all this
book is about the history of Mont Saint Michel and the fight to keep it
from English hands back in the hundred year war, and about a girl who feels
ordinary but has much more inside of her than she realizes.
because of the history. Although, to some people history sounds boring,
Kathleen C. Perrin made it really fun to read and it never became boring. Most
thing are based upon the actual history of Mont Saint Michel, and some
of it is fiction, but most of all it really made me want to visit the place. I
definitely fell in love with the people of Mont Saint Michel in this
book, and the rich history this place seems to have.
know. I especially really love Nicolas. He was just so passionate about what he
believed in, and when this strange girl from the future came he really didn’t
get her at all. But he tried, and most of all he tried to look at things from
her perspective.
I can’t wait to read more about the Watchmen. When you start reading this book,
be prepared to do nothing more than read. And get your tissues ready, because I
cried my eyes out at the end.

Your review makes me so happy! I was worried about whether it was religious but once I got into it I realized it wasn't really. I am 'spiritual' and believe in angels and stuff but I don't like books that are religious with a specific religion. So this one really worked for me on that end though it had been a worry initially. I'm just so happy you loved it!
Thank you so much for hosting a tour stop and sharing your thoughts!
You're very welcome. This was definitely a book I would't want to have missed. It's a book I will be re-reading sometime. It was just so good. And I really hope there will be more books in this series.
Thanks for stopping by and letting me be a part of the tour! 😀
Maureen,
So glad you liked THE KEYS OF THE WATCHMEN. Thanks for the great and detailed review. I happen to be in France right now doing research and taking photos for Books II and III in the Watchmen Saga, so be assured that the story of Katelyn and Nicolas will continue! And check out my photos of Mont Saint Michel at my website: http://www.kathleencperrin.com
I'm so happy to hear that. I can't wait to read more books in this series. I really loved it 😉 Enjoy your trip and thank you so much for stopping by 😉
Great job here, Maureen! I am a fan of Kate Mosse(Labyrinth, etc) and would be interested in seeing how this series reads. I absolutely appreciate when an author really knows "the locations" on a personal level, like it appears Kathleen does…LOL but what is it about France that seems to be THE setting for time travel novels?
Than this book is definitely one for you. I really recommend it. 😉
And great question.. LOL!! France definitely seems to be the place for time traveling! 😀
Thanks for stoppng by!!
