Sixteen-year-old
Rowan has spent most of his life living among the mortals—learning to control
the element of fire, impatiently awaiting the day his vengeful mother, Queen
Prisma, will abdicate her throne. When he finally returns to Avalon for
his coronation, his mother insists he must first prove his loyalty to the court
by completing a secret mission:
the air court king.
Willing to do anything to remove his mother from power,
he agrees to sacrifice the halfling. He returns to the mortal world with his
best friend, Marcus, determined to kill the princess. But as he devises a plan,
he starts to question whether or not he’s capable of completing such a heinous
task. And what price he will
pay if he refuses?

Guest Post ‘The World Of Mortal Enchantment’:
When I came up with the idea for ‘Mortal Enchantment’, I
knew I wanted a mythological site to host most of the series. I like the idea
that elementals can exist in their own secret location within our human world.
Some people call that a parallel world. In this case, my parallel world is
Avalon.
territories (what I call courts): woodland, air, fire and water. In the prequel
novella, ‘The Shadow Prince’, I introduce mainly the fire court territory which
consists of dry lands, sparse trees, and even a volcano. Once you get to
‘Mortal Enchantment’, I explore the mountain ranges and the crystal castle of
the air court. The characters have a few scenes in the forests of the woodland
court where a host of faerie folk live. There’s also two scenes where my
heroine, Kalin, travels into the water territory. Both the woodland and water
courts are further explored in the third
book in the series, ‘Fragile Reign’.
surrounding Avalon is what hides them from the rest of the us. I’ve created a
beautiful but dangerous world for my characters. I hope I’ve intrigued you
enough that you give it a read. ‘The Shadow Prince’ is free and available
everywhere. J

Praise for the ‘Mortal Enchantment’ series:
unbelievable amount of action, world building, and character development in its
short 102 pages. It was a great beginning to this series that had me ready to
start the next book right away.
Enchantment’ by Stacey O’Neale is a fantastic story revolving around elemental
mythology. It’s a story where readers will be easily captivated by the world
created by Stacey O’Neale, and characters that you will definitely want to
follow.
are just so well written. They’re real, believable, vulnerable and so lovable.
I just love the whole series.
about ‘Fragile Reign’
Stacey O’Neale writes. She has a way of making you hold on and not stop
reading. She writes in both Kalin and Rowan’s POV. With each chapter ending, it
is like a mini cliffhanger.
about ‘Fragile Reign’
Stacey O’Neale really knows how to create characters that I love to hate; she
gives her antagonists more depth than just being the enemy with an agenda.
There’s always more to them, with a deeper meaning – a reason for them to be
the way that they are, like it’s not their fault, they have to be this way and
there’s no other way around it. And these characters stick with me!
