After reading ‘Fake’ by Kylie Scott a few weeks ago, I knew I wanted to read more books by her. So when I saw the sign up for the Blog Tour of ‘Pause’, I signed up immediately. I knew that this book was the second book in a standalone series, so if I’d end up ...KEEP READING »

Fake (West Hollywood #1)

When I read the book description of ‘Fake’ a little while ago, I knew this was a book I wanted to read. I’ve always loved romance novels about Hollywood stars. And not to forget, Notting Hill is one of my favorite movies. So I signed up for the Blog Tour and was super excited when I received an ARC. And have you seen that cover? It’s definitely a gorgeous cover in my opinion.

In ‘Fake’ we meet Norah Peers. Norah is a waitress who has sworn off men after another bad dating choice. She is definitely a normal girl with not a lot of exciting things going on in her life. Except for a famous customer that comes by every once in a while. Patrick Walsh is definitely very handsome and although Norah is kind of starstruck, she never talks about him coming to the restaurant with other people and she doesn’t stare at him like most people do. So when Patrick needs help to safe his reputation after a bad decision, Norah seems the perfect fit for the job.

This book was definitely a very fun, easy to read book that I devoured in a day. The two main characters are very likeable and I enjoyed getting to know them. Norah is supposedly an average girl-next-door kind of girl and she is sure Patrick would never be really interested in her. Patrick has been a famous actor for years, and his looks and charms make every woman fall on her knees for him. Norah treats him normal. But when Norah gets nervous she starts talking a lot, and she is unlike any other woman Patrick has come across lately.

The chemistry between Norah and Patrick was great to read. I honestly couldn’t stop reading this book, because they where just so good together. There where plenty of sexy and romantic scenes in this book to keep me hooked. And in the end I also got some twists I didn’t see coming. Those where definitely refreshing and very enjoyable.

I never read a book by Kylie Scott before, but I must say I really liked her way of writing. I enjoyed reading this book through Norah’s point of view, and I loved the combination of romance and humor. ‘Fake’ definitely was a very fun read and I can’t wait to read more books in this series.
