The Cabin

The Cabin

When I saw the cover of this book, I was immediately fascinated. After reading the book description I knew this book was different than my normal reads. But somehow this book pulled me in. And I was super excited when I was able to start reading.

Let me start by saying this book would be hard to read in a normal situation.. But since I’m pregnant, my hormones are going through the roof at times, and this book just made me ugly cry a lot of times. Boy it was hard! But in a beautiful way for sure.

‘The Cabin’ has different parts, and we meet three people. Adrian, Nadia and Nathan. Without giving to much away, in the first part we read about Nadia losing her husband. She is devastated, and has trouble moving on. But her husband has thought of everything, and tries to help her move on even though he is gone.

This book was such an emotional one to read and even now, days later I’m thinking about it. I loved the way Jasinda Wilder was able to make me love all three these characters so much. Her writing kept me hooked from the moment I started reading, till the moment I finished reading it. It was just such an intense read, it’s hard to describe just what this book did.

The main character Nadia is a nurse, and as a nurse myself I felt even more connected to her character than I probably would have had if she wasn’t a nurse. Her husband was her soulmate, when they weren’t together they both felt off.. so when he died, her reason for living was just gone. And my heart broke for her.

I loved how Nadia’s husband was able to give her this beautiful gift even though he was gone. He was just so selfless and caring.. It touched me how he wanted to take care of her above everything else.

If you’re looking for a beautiful and romantic read, ‘The Cabin’ is definitely one for you. If you’re pregnant.. maybe just wait a little longer! LOL!!
