Wild North (The North Brothers, #1)

Will you look at that gorgeous cover? If that doesn’t grab your attention I’m not sure what will. When I saw that cover for the first time I knew I wanted to read more about this book. And after reading the book description I just knew I had to read it. Luckily for me I received an ARC and I started reading soon after.

In ‘Wild North’ we meet Jordan Wilder. Jordan is on a camping trip with her boyfriend. And she is trying to figure out if she still wants this guy to be her boyfriend. When the not very successful trip is coming to its end, Jordan decides to go for a walk by herself. This ends up in a disaster and soon Jordan is fighting for her life. Luckily she is saved by this handsome grumpy guy who almost seems angry about him saving her. The guy, who she calls Grizzly, is definitely not a your average guy and there is something about him that Jordan just can’t seem to forget.

‘Wild North’ was my first book by J.B. Salsbury and I loved it. This book was definitely a little different than your average romance reads and I couldn’t put it down. Jordan and Alexander’s character, also known as Grizzly, couldn’t be more different. Jordan is a very chatty person who tries to make the best of her life while working two jobs and being in a bad relationship. Alexander is grumpy, not social at all and carries this big secret around. He definitely isn’t a guy you should like to have around you. But there is a connection between them and I just loved them together.

What I loved most about this book was a how it kept me guessing for a long time. I just couldn’t figure out why Alexander was the way he was and it kept me hooked till the very last page. I really enjoyed the mystery about him. And when I did figure him out I felt both sorry and happy for the guy.

Jordan’s character was just really fun. I loved her. She was one of those woman who could have easily been sad and grumpy all the time, but she was cheerful and definitely did the best with what she had. And the chemistry between Jordan and Alexander was really fun to read about.

I also enjoyed reading a little about the other North brothers. I definitely can’t wait to read more about those characters too.

‘Wild North’ was an intense, exciting and romantic read I loved from start till finish. I couldn’t put it down and definitely enjoyed every bit of it. I especially loved the way these characters are unlike any characters I read about. And the setting of ‘Wild North’.. well.. I love mountains so this book was definitely a hit for me.
