I am a big Christmas lover! I love everything about Christmas and I especially love reading Christmas Romance novels. I seriously could read those all year round. So when I saw the sign up for ‘The Trouble With Christmas’ I didn’t even have to think about it and signed up as fast as I could.

"[W]ill generate holiday spirit in even the most Scrooge-like reader.” Kirkus Review, Starred Review All Suzanne St. Michelle wants is an over-the-top, eggnog-induced holiday with her best friend in Credence, Colorado. But when her hoity-toity parents insist she come home for Christmas in New York, she blurts out that her sexy landlord is actually her boyfriend and she can’t leave him—Joshy loves Christmas. The more twinkle lights the better. Rancher Joshua Grady does not love Christmas. Or company, or chatty women. Unfortunately for him, the chattiest woman ever has rented the cottage on his ranch, invited her rich, art-scene parents, and now insists he play “fake rancher boyfriend” in a production of the Hokiest Christmas Ever. And somehow…she gets him to agree. Apparently, he’ll do anything to get his quiet life back. At least there’s mistletoe every two feet—and kissing Suzy is surprisingly easy. But in the midst of acres of tinsel, far too many tacky Christmas sweaters, and a tree that can be seen from space, he’s starting to want what he lost when he was a kid—a family. Too bad it’s with a woman heading back to New York before the ball drops… Each book in the Credence, Colorado series is STANDALONE: * Nothing But Trouble * The Trouble with Christmas

In ‘The Trouble With Christmas’ we meet Suzanne. Suzanne is an artist looking for her muse, and when she is invited by her best friend to stay in a little town in Colorado she just can’t refuse. Desperate for a spark of creativity Suzanne is excited when she finds out she is staying in this beautiful country cottage. And when she meets her handsome landlord Joshua she knows staying in Colorado for a little while is a good thing. Unfortunately Joshua doesn’t want anything to do with Suzanne. Especially after she makes the mistake of telling her parents a ‘little’ lie: Joshua is a Christmas enthusiast.. and her boyfriend.

Well, this book was definitely fun. I was really looking forward to reading this book, since it would be my first ‘Christmas’ read of the season and luckily for me it didn’t disappoint. Especially the main character Suzanne was one I really loved. Suzanne is a little ‘weird’, and when she is nervous she starts to chat like a crazy person. This made me laugh several times. Combine Suzanne with the grumpy cowboy Joshua who doesn’t usually talk at all and you have a great combination. I just love those two.

What I loved the most about ‘The Trouble With Christmas’ was the way this book is written through both Suzanne and Joshua’s point of view. I just loved reading both their sides of the story. The romance between them was really sweet and I just loved the Christmas element in this book.

I also really loved the fact that Suzanne was a painter. Somehow this just really made this book even more enjoyable for me. Perhaps it was the whole painting Joshua without him knowing it part.. but it was really fun to read.

The only thing that I would have liked differently was the ending. It was definitely a great end, but I just thought Joshua changed his mind pretty fast for someone who was so stubborn throughout the book. But overall..

‘The Trouble With Christmas’ is definitely a fun Christmas read I really enjoyed.
