After reading the previous three books in the Arrowood Brothers series, and loving them all, I knew this book was one I had to read. So when I was able to sign up for an ARC, I did immediately. And I was super excited when I got picked to read this book. ‘Stay For Me’ is the fourth book in this series, and can be read as a standalone.
In ‘Stay For Me’ we finally get to read the story of Jacob Arrowood. I was really looking forward to reading this book, because there just was something about Jacob that made me curious about his story since I first read about him in the first book of this series. Jacob is a Hollywood actor, and it’s his turn to stay in Sugarloaf for 6 months. Although he loves spending time with his brothers, Jacob is sure in the end of the 6 months he will want to leave immediately. But he didn’t expect to meet Brenna Allen, a young widow with two young kids. From the moment Jacob and Brenna meet, both their lives change forever.
Now I’ve read this last book in the Arrowood series, I can definitely say this is my favorite one. I mean.. Jacob and Brenna just where these two amazing characters with some intense chemistry. And I loved them from the moment I started reading about them.
Not only the chemistry between Jacob and Brenna was amazing and definitely flying of the pages, their connection and friendship was just so intense it made me want to keep on reading. Their story was fun, sexy and very emotional. And my pregnant self had to pick some tears away several times.
Jacob’s character was my favorite. He had just this big good heart, and I loved how intensely he felt for the people he cared about. It was also very fun to read about him as an Hollywood actor, falling for a ‘normal’ girl. And Brenna.. well she was pretty awesome too. A young widow who always had to take second place in her relationship. And I admired how tough she was. She took such great care of her children. I was really in awe of her.
‘Stay For Me’ was the perfect book to end a series. It was romantic, but also had some moments that kept me sitting on the edge of my seat. And I loved the little note by the author about her next series. I’ll definitely be reading that one too.
