On March 17th Maureen’s Books celebrated it’s 7th blogiversary. Since I was on ‘maternity leave’ I didn’t get to celebrate with you guys. But obviously I could not let this day go by without celebrating at all. So better late than never.. let’s celebrate!
On March 17th 2014 I started Maureen’s Books thinking no one would ever see anything I wrote. I just really wanted to talk and write about the English written books I read, and figured I could do that by starting a blog. Even if no one would have read it.. me writing about books just made me smile so I did it and loved every minute of it. Luckily for me, bloggers and authors began to notice me and not long after starting I received my first book to review. Soon more followed and before I knew what was going on I had contacts with a publishing house in London and the US, and a few author I loved. And I’ve been hooked to blogging ever since.
Things have slowed down after our little girl was born two years ago, but I never stopped and I’m determined to keep going, keep reading and blogging.. and maybe one day make my dream of doing something with my love for English books as a job come true. I’ve been talking with someone about possible proofreading their book, so who knows.. *fingers crossed*
Now let’s look at some facts:
- Since starting Maureen’s Books in 2014 I read 727 books
- I mostly read Contemporary Romance, Historical Romance, Paranormal Romance and Suspense
- In 2020 I read 128 books
- In 2020 I posted 225 times
- 1324 people are subscribed to Maureen’s Books
