Mar
Yes.. I’m back my fellow book lovers. I took a little break for the month of March but now I’m officially back. And I had a good reason for being away.. On February 22nd our second baby, Jack Colin was born after a 37 week pregnancy. We planned on going to the hospital to give birth, but our boy decided he didn’t want to wait any longer and he was born only 11 minutes after the midwife came to our home. You can bet my husband and I where completely in shock after this whirlwind of a birth. And especially my husband since he almost was forced to help me give birth alone. LOL!! Only four hours of contractions.. and he was here. And he is amazing and I’m totally in love with him.
So for the last month we’ve been enjoying our baby boy and getting used to life as a family of four. Our little girl is loving her baby brother so much and it’s been a joy to see how she interacts with him. She hasn’t been jealous so far, we honestly have to look out she doesn’t cuddle him to closely. LOL! And Jack himself is an absolute joy. He rarely cries, and he is just very content. Yes, due to Covid we haven’t had many visitors yet. But it also has it’s perks and we’ve been trying to accept things as they are at te moment.h
And although I haven’t been blogging, I’ve been reading. And reading just the books that I want to read which made me realize I need to do that more often. If breastfeeding, and sleepless nights have been good for one thing it has been my reading. Next to cuddling my sweet baby boy, I’ve been reading.. and I’m excited to start blogging again too. So let’s start again…
Over these last few weeks I’ve been doing some thinking and making some plans. So keep an eye out for some changes these upcoming weeks. And since it was my 7th blogiversary on March 17th, which I obviously missed as well, I’ll be sharing a celebration post and giveaway on Wednesday. I hope you guys will visit us then.

Sounds like you had a ncie break from blogging and adjusting to your new addition to the family. Sounds like you’re all settling nicely and getting used to now being a family of four. Glad to hear your son is doing well and that your daughter is doing well now that she has a brother too.
It’s nice to sometimes just take the time to read what you want to read. We bloggers seem to not do that nearly enough.
Yes, I definitely had a great and much needed time off. But I’m excited to be back too. I can never stay away for long :D.
I’m determined to read more books just for fun. Not that I don’t love the books I now read.. but there are so many more books I’ve been wanting to read but never got to.
Congrats again! Glad the birth went smoothly, if it was a little unexpected! My sister’s baby came earlier than planned as well! She was going to have a C-section done but for the second time, baby decided she wanted out earlier than what was planned! Lol. I told her if she were to have baby #4 there’s no way she’d be able to have a C-section again since her last two kids decided to come along early and she was always just minutes away from having to go natural. Her first child was breached which is why she kept taking the c-section route since her doctor said she could go either way.
Jack is adorable! So glad his sister is happy to have him there! My nephew who is almost 2 wasn’t so sure of his new baby sister. I think he cried the second day when he saw she was still there. But he’s gotten use to her now. Not overly impressed, but I bet they’ll both be getting into trouble together just as soon as she’s mobile! Lol.
Glad you enjoyed your blogging break and were able to read books you were wanting to read! Glad to have you back!
Thanks Jessica. And congratulations on becoming an aunt again. 😉
Congratulations, Maureen! What a wonderful photo of your family. It sounds like a pretty exciting birth. I am glad that you took some time off to focus on your little one.
Thank you Carole. 🙂
