About ‘The Key to Annie’s Heart’ (Fall River Ranch #1):

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/24581082-the-key-to-annie-s-heartTo live a rancher’s life in the Rocky Mountains had always
been Mac’s dream.  He loved his place on
Fall River.  He was a success by anyone’s
measure, except his own.  He failed to
keep his wife content to be at home, although “home” was a dream put
to architectural drawings.  Too many
nights she preferred to stay in town with friends rather than make the trip up
the mountain.  She liked to party, and
winding mountain roads coupled with too much to drink ended her life.  Could Mac ever forgive himself for his wife’s
death?
In all his ways Mac was basic, even when it came to
sex.  He was a standard missionary
position kind of guy with an occasional variation.  That would have to change; he wanted a wife
and a family—a second chance.
Annie Campbell was a busy event planner at a five star
hotel in the city.  Fiercely independent,
she wouldn’t consider herself sexually savvy; she certainly was open to new
experiences.  It had been six lonely
years since her husband died.  It was
time to move on and setting her fears aside, she joined an Internet dating site.
After reading what she considered to be a damn near
perfect profile, she sent Mac a brief note and waited.   He had no idea just how independent she
was.  She had no idea how over-protective
he was—but they were about to find out.
Could Mac pull it off?
Could a country guy woo a city gal, stop researching how to please a
woman, and put it into practice…and what about Annie?  Could she surrender some of her independence
and learn to submit to him?  Read their
story!
A contemporary western romance, The Key to Annie’s Heart
is the first novel in the Fall River Ranch series.  MacDermot’s Bride, Book 2, was released February
24, 2015, and will be followed by The MacDermot’s of Scotland which is
scheduled for release summer of 2015.
Each is a stand-alone novel intended for mature readers.
This book is available at Amazon US, Amazon UK, Barnes & Noble, iTunes, All Romance and Kobo.

About ‘MacDermot’s Bride’ (Fall River Ranch #2):

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/25014682-macdermot-s-bride
As Mac fall deeper in love with Annie, his past haunts him.
He failed to keep the woman he loved safe before and he vowed he’d never fail
again.

Annie’s fierce independent streak doesn’t make it easy for him. She’s created a
life for herself, certain she can make it on her own.

Filled with passion, suspense, and humor, their love story unfolds with twists
and turns neither of them saw coming. Mac needs Annie, but will it be too late
by the time she realizes she needs him too?

This novel is an erotic romance and includes explicit sex and mild elements of
BDSM. Please do not purchase this book if you find this material offensive.

Excerpt ‘The Key To Annie’s Heart’:

“Oh my God!” Annie gasped, her mouth falling open as she
glanced at the pictures in her email.
She quickly slammed the lid of her laptop down until curiosity got the
better of her and she had to look again.
Internet dating was new to Annie Campbell.  Only a couple of men caught her eye; the
first never responded to her message.
The second man responded immediately asking for her private email
address.  Novice that she was, she gave
it to him.  She was shocked when, within
ten minutes, he began sending her photos of himself standing in front of what
appeared to be an enormous marble fireplace.
He was totally naked from the waist down and holding his huge cock.  Some of his captions were “You’re so hot,
baby!  I want you to lick me all over” and
“This would feel great deep inside you, call me.”  The freak even included his phone number.
She wasn’t a prude; she was looking for a gentleman, not
a one night stand with a man overly-impressed with his own rod.  Embarrassed that she looked at all five
pictures, she had to admit he had some nice equipment—too bad his ego was
bigger than his dick and possibly his brain.
Perhaps, under the different circumstances, she would have considered
meeting him without ever knowing he was inclined to send such pictures; the
thought was scary.  Shaking her head, she
deleted the photos and resigned herself to the fact that he was a low-life with
nothing better to do.  They can’t
possibly all be like this, she thought, as she blocked future emails from
him.  Annie began to think this internet
dating thing was truly a waste of her time, possibly even dangerous.

Guest Post: A Snippet from the Life of Keriann McKenna

For those of you who find this hard to believe, I’m here
to let you know you can’t make this stuff up.
My life, until a few weeks ago was peaceful and quiet.  My kids are grown, and I spent a good deal of
time with one of my granddaughters, we’d shop, go on secret missions, and have
a great time.  I guess that’s how someone
my age would expect things to be.  But,
life happens and it’s not always kind.
About a month ago when I was in the process of having
hardwood floors put in three bedrooms and my office on the second floor, and
having two bathrooms tiled, one of my adult daughters got sick.  The symptoms were horrible—throwing up, her
legs began to give out on her, her arms and legs suffered from tremors she
couldn’t control, and she was, and is, in a lot of pain.  She was also scared to death.  After several trips to the emergency room in
the middle of the night and consultations with two neurologists, we decided she
should move home.  It was the right thing
for both of us.
With the second floor torn up from the floors, we moved
her one bedroom apartment furnishings and other belongings into my living and
dining room.  We are packed with
furniture and boxes; in fact my son came over the other day to get the swamp
cooler going for the summer and he didn’t know his sister had moved home.  After he left, he immediately called another
sister to tell her how worried he was about me because I had become a
hoarder.  He was relieved I wasn’t hoarding
but saddened about his sister who had kept her illness very private.
My days are very different now but really, since she
isn’t well and can’t live alone, I wouldn’t have it any other way.  I am up earlier because my daughter is still
able to work (she needs to keep her insurance more than ever now) and I’m going
to bed later.  I am cooking
again—something I’d nearly quit doing as I’ve never learned to cook for one and
I was wasting food.  Now, I’m more
concerned that she is eating healthy food.
I am sleeping with someone on the other side of my king sized bed
because her pain in the night can be tough and she needs some comfort.  Sometimes when she gets home from work she
can barely make it up the stairs.  On
good nights we watch TV together and relax; on bad nights I use my training to
keep her calm and help her de-stress.
When she cries because she’s afraid she’s dying or just sad when her
body doesn’t work right, I hold her.  I’m
glad she’s here; she may be in her late 40’s but she’s still my child.
Testing continues and many things have been ruled out,
leaving a couple of diagnoses yet to be determined, one of which is MS.  She has four spinal fluid bands which are
indicative of MS and 2+ lesions on her brain.
We are hoping for an accurate diagnosis and a proactive treatment plan
soon.  Her illness, whatever it turns out
to be, has changed both of our lives.  We
don’t hope for things to get back to normal because what we knew as normal is
gone…and it’s a great loss for my daughter.
We are in the process of creating a new normal every day and we are
praying it will be a pretty good new normal life for her.
We are closer than ever.
We take time to enjoy each day even in small ways.  I am not tied to my computer for eight hours
a day any longer, and that’s good for me.
I still find time during the day to write and edit.  My third book is late getting out but it can
wait.  As much as I am dedicated to my
writing and my readers, it has to take a back seat now.  I am much more dedicated to my children, this
daughter in particular.  I am a mother
first!  Although I never expected to be
caring for one of my children at my age, I am blessed that I am physically and
emotionally able to do it.
If you have a moment, send a few prayers our way.  We both would greatly appreciate it.

About the Author:

I am Keriann McKenna and I’ve lived in the foothills of
the beautiful Rocky Mountains with my family for over thirty years.  I started writing lyrics and music more years
ago than I am willing to admit.  Poetry
came next, followed by short stories—many of which were written for my
grandchildren.  Now I’m getting ready to
release my fourth book.
My debut release was Come Back to Me at Christmas in
December, 2014.  It’s a very sweet short
story about an unending love and it truly can be read at any time of year.
I didn’t plan to write a novel; editing is my first love
and I honestly didn’t think I had enough words in me to produce a novel.  I couldn’t have been more wrong.  As for where those words came from, well I’m
not sure, but an abundance of characters seemed to take up residence in my head
and sometimes they all talked at once.
As fast as I type, it was hard to keep up with them as they talk to me.
“Hey, I don’t know anything about toys either,” my hero
piped up.  “You research it for me and
write about it.”
“I’m NOT researching those sites,” I insisted.  WTH, now I was talking to someone who lives
in my head.
“But I need to know.
How can I win her heart without some help and you’re all I’ve got?”
I caved.  The
research began and everything I saw on the internet he wanted and that’s
exactly how I wrote him.
We had no sooner finished his search for toys when he
looked at me pleadingly (in my head of course) and said, “And I want a
dog.  No, actually I need a dog.  Every ranch needs at least one dog and a few
cats to keep the mice out of the stables.”
“Mac, I am not giving you a dog.  There is enough going on in this story
already and I can’t keep track of a dog.
I have to feed it and mention it or readers will get upset with me.  No cats either, I’m allergic to them.”  I could see him in my mind sinking into a
chair, frustrated.
“Come on, I’m writing you ridiculously sexy and you’ve
got to work with me here.”
He finally sighed and conceded.
