After reading the first book in the Endeavor series, I knew I wanted to read this second book too. I just really wanted to find out what was happening with Tess and Shade. Whiteout (Survival Instincts, #1)

Whiteout (Survival Instincts, #1)

When I first saw the cover and read the book description of ‘Whiteout’ I knew this was a book I needed to read. I mean.. Have you seen that cover? Isn’t gorgeous? I love that cover. And that book description really made me want to start reading this book as soon as I could. So when I got approved to get an ARC I was super excited.

In ‘Whiteout’ we meet cook Angel Smith on her last days as a cook on a research station in Antarctica. After months of seeing glaciologist Ford Cooper from a distance, Angel takes one last chance of getting him to talk to her. But when that fails she knows she just have to take her loss and go back home. But right when Angel is about to leave, people start to go missing, and before she knows what is happening, Angel and Ford are the only two survivors isolated in one of the most brutal places of the world.

Well, this book was something else. From the moment I started reading ‘Whiteout’ I was hooked to the pages. Not because of the chemistry between, Ford and Angel, but because this book is so thrilling and it keeps you sitting on the edge of the seat. From the beginning till the very end there is so much going on in this book that I simple needed to know what would happen next.

Although I haven’t read anything other than romance novels lately, and this book is much more a suspense novel than romance, but there’s still a fun and very additive romance going on too. Angel and Ford are forced to try to survive a cold winter in Antarctica on the run of people who are endangering the world. It was hard to imagine how there could be any romance in this environment, but there was and it was really good.

Adriana Anders writing kept me anxious to keep on reading. She was able to create a world that I simple couldn’t imagine before, but can now see clearly. And I loved that. I also loved the fact that she was able to create these characters that had so much depth that I really found myself thinking of them as ‘real’ people.

Yes, this book was definitely a great romantic suspense novel. It had everything I could hope for in a romantic suspense novel. And I really hope this book will be part of a series, because I just can’t get enough of Angel and Ford.

‘Whiteout’ definitely is a book I’d recommend.

Cowboy Meets His Match (The Haywire Brides, #2)

Cowboy Meets His Match (The Haywire Brides, #2)

I always love cowboy stories. So when I saw ‘Cowboy Meets His Match’ on Netgalley I knew this was a book I wanted to read. So when I got an email saying that I was approved to read this one I was super excited and started reading as fast as I could.

In ‘Cowboy Meets His Match’ we meet Emily Fields. Emily has fled to Texas to marry a stranger and to hide from her secrets and get a new start. But what she didn’t expect is to marry the wrong stranger.

Chase is trying to save his family’s ranch from falling into the wrong hands. And to achieve that goal he has to get married. But due to unforeseen circumstances, Chase accidentally marries Emily, a woman who definitely isn’t used to life in the country.

Although ‘Cowboy Meets His Match’ is the second book in the Haywire Brides series, it can be read as a standalone. I haven’t read the first book, and I never felt like I was missing stuff. This book is definitely a sweet and fun story that kept me hooked. Both the main characters Emily and Chase are fun to get to know. They are both from very different worlds, and that made for some fun conversations.

The romance between Emily and Chase was very mild and definitely took some time. But it was fun. I loved how they slowly grew closer and closer. And although I don’t think it’s possible to marry someone accidentally, not even back in the day, I still enjoyed this read. It was a nice and easy read that was perfect to read after a very busy day.

The one thing I didn’t really like about this book, was the way some things felt very rushed. In only a very small amount of time one of the characters was missing, than someone got shot, and if that wasn’t enough a young girl went missing too. This just was a little too much for my taste. Especially since these three things weren’t connected.

Overall, ‘Cowboy Meets His Match’ was a nice and easy read perfect for when you need something relaxing to read that’s not to complicated.

Beyond Risk (Florida Wildlife Warriors #1)

Beyond Risk (Florida Wildlife Warriors #1)

Let me start with saying I just love that cover. Isn’t it just beautiful? It was definitely what grabbed my attention in the beginning. And yes I know you should never judge a book by its cover, but this is just so pretty. When I saw this book on Netgalley I knew I wanted to read it. So I was super excited when I got approved. The One You Fight For (The Ones Who Got Away, #3)

I read the first book in The Ones Who Got Away series ‘The Ones Who Got Away’ in the beginning of last year and it blew my mind. This is one of those series that grab your attention and just don’t let you go. It’s romantic, which I love, but most of all these books so far are so touching and memorable. They make me cry, and swoon and sigh. I just love this series. So obviously I had to get my hands on a copy of this third book. Thankfully I was lucky enough to get approved to read an ARC. Read More
