After reading the first book in the Adair family series I knew this was a series I wanted to read every single book from. I mean wow.. what a great start to a new series! So when I received the ARC of ‘There With You’, book two in the series, I couldn’t wait to start reading ...KEEP READING »

Here With Me (Adair Family, #1)

When I first read about Samantha Young’s new series the Adair Family, I got super excited. I love Samantha’s books and this book sounded really good. Add a gorgeous cover and I couldn’t have been more excited to start reading. Luckily for me, I’m part of Samantha’s Review team and received the ARC a few weeks before the book would come out and I started reading immediately.

In ‘Here With Me’ we meet Robyn. Robyn is a twenty eight year old who decided to travel to Scotland, to visit her dad who she hasn’t seen in years. Robyn’s father Mac is the head of security of ex-Hollywood actor Lachlan Adair who owns an exclusive club at his family’s land. When Robyn and Lachlan meet they instantly dislike each other. Robyn blames Lachlan for making her dad leave her behind, and Lachlan is sure Robyn is there to hurt Mac. But soon they’ll have to get along because there is trouble lurking.

This book was from the start one I couldn’t put down. I loved getting to know the different characters and the setting in Scotland. I always enjoy romance stories about Hollywood stars and this one was no exception. The two main characters Robyn and Lachlan, which point of views we both read throughout the book, couldn’t have been more different. But that was definitely what made it fun to read. Robyn, a strong independent woman who left her job as an police officer to pursue a career in photography and reconnect with her father. Lachlan, an ex-Hollywood star with trust issues, who wants nothing more than to protect his family and make something from the land he owns.

Although Robyn and Lachlan really don’t like each other, there is this instant chemistry between them that is flying of the pages. And I enjoyed how they both fought hard to resist this intense connection.

But what made this book really fun and a five star read in my opinion, was the combination of romance, family bonding and suspense. Someone is trying to hurt Lachlan, and the people he cares about. And Robyn is determined to figure out who it is. I just couldn’t stop reading and was desperate to find out what was going to happen next.

Throughout this read we also read a little bit about the other Adair siblings, and I honestly can’t wait to read their story as well. The Adairs sure are a fascinating family I’m dying to learn more about.

‘Here With Me’ is a great start to a new series and I couldn’t put it down. The romance is as great as we got to expect of Samantha Young and the suspense kept me guessing and sitting on the edge of my seat. Loved it!!

Bound by Forever (True Immortality, #3)

I’ve been a huge fan of S. Young, a.k.a. Samantha Young for a long time now. And I’ve been on her ARC team for a while now too. So when one of her books is about to come out, I get all excited! When I started reading the True Immortality series in April of last year, I was immediately hooked and just knew this was going to be one of my favorite series. ‘Bound By Forever’ is the third book in this amazing paranormal romance series, but can be read as a standalone, and let me tell you.. it is soooo good!

In ‘Bound By Forever’ we meet Niamh. Niamh is one of seven fae children born into the human world with the ability to open the gate to Faerie. Yes, she is fae.. But she was born from a human mother and has always wanted the normal things in life: love, friendship.. peace. But she is definitely not ‘normal’. Her life has been all about making sure the other Faerie’s stay on the right path and don’t open the gate. But after her brother was murdered, she has trouble staying under the radar of her enemies. Without Niamh’s knowledge, werewolf Kiyo has been giving the task to keep Niamh save from her enemies.. and especially herself.

Kiyo has been a werewolf for many years and he is unlike any of his kind. Kiyo is cursed with immortality and has always been on his own. He is definitely one you would call cold. He has known all kinds of hurt and he promised himself never to ‘feel’ much again. And Kiyo definitely exceeds at that.. Until he meets Niamh. Niamh is almost to good! She is kind, even if people don’t really deserve it. And from the moment Niamh and Kiyo meet there is a connection between the two of them. And unfortunately a lot of drama too.

‘Bound By Forever’ was definitely another great book by S. Young. From the moment I started reading, I was completely hooked to the story and the characters. The chemistry between Niamh and Kiyo is flying of the pages, and I just loved those two so much. They are very different. While Niamh can easily admit to herself she is attracted to Kiyo. Kiyo tries his hardest to be cold and unkind to Niamh. And he definitely tries to convince himself he doesn’t feel anything for the fae except a sense of duty. I loved reading this book through both Niamh and Kiyo’s point of view.

Although the romance was really bloody good, and made me swoon from the beginning till the very end, their was also a lot of suspenseful moments that kept me sitting on the edge of my seat. Their where several moments throughout this read I found myself unable to do anything but keep on reading just so I would know what was going to happen next.

The paranormal aspects in this series is also something I love. I love the paranormal stuff, but especially when you can almost imagine it to be something real. And in this series I can easily imagine myself walking besides the characters. (Definitely not as cool as these characters though! LOL!)

What I also loved was seeing and hearing little bits about the characters from the previous two books. These characters are all connected, but you can definitely still read this book as a standalone.

I for one can’t wait to read the next book in this series! ‘Bound By Forever’ is definitely going on my Favorite Reads of 2020 list!

War of Hearts

I’m a big fan of Samantha Young. So when I read that her new book ‘War of Hearts’ was coming I got super excited and couldn’t wait to read it. So I signed up for the blog tour and was super happy to find out I got selected for an ARC.

In ‘War of Hearts’ we meet Thea. Thea has been on the run for several years after she was kept hostage because of what she was. And what that was exactly was unknown to her. She always had these powers she couldn’t control and all she knows is, she can’t trust anyone and is all alone. So when Thea meets Conall, a werewolf who is hired to find her, she doesn’t trust him at all. But Thea and Conall have an instant connection that makes them doubt everything they know.

‘War of Hearts’ is a paranormal romance novel written by Samantha Young under her new pen name, S. Young. And I was so excited to learn this book had paranormal elements in it. I used to love reading fantasy and paranormal novels. But lately I haven’t been receiving any new paranormal books or found any appealing. But this one got me all excited. And definitely not for nothing. Boy, did I love this book! From the moment I started reading I just loved everything about the two main characters Thea and Conall. Their chemistry was just amazing and I loved the way they interacted.

The paranormal part in this book was also pretty exciting. I loved reading about these supernatural powers, werewolves and special gifts. This book just really got me all excited. And I couldn’t put it down. Yes, it’s a romantic book, but there are also many thrilling and exciting moment that made this read definitely super exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat.

Although I would love to read more books set in this new world Samantha created, I was also happy to find out this book was a standalone. I just couldn’t bear finding out this book was part of a series, and not being able to find out what would happen to Thea and Conall. Yes, there are some hints of possible more books, but the story of Thea and Conall feels like it came to an end. And I loved that.

‘War of Hearts’ was a great read I loved from the very first page, until the very last. I can only say I want more in this genre now!

Things We Never Said (Hart’s Boardwalk, #3)

Things We Never Said (Hart’s Boardwalk, #3)

I have loved the Hart’s Boardwalk series from the beginning and devoured the first two books. So when I saw that the third book ‘Things We Never Said’ would be coming out soon I couldn’t resist and pre-ordered this book immediately. And I was so excited when the book was send to my kindle and I could start reading.

In ‘Things We Never Said’ we follow the story of Dahlia and Michael. Dahlia has been living in Hartwell for nine year now, and she really likes her easy and silent life there. But when something happens to her father, she is forced to go back to the place she grew up and left in a hurry all those years ago. Dahlia hasn’t been back to Boston in years, and now she’s not only forced to deal with a lot of hard memories, but there’s also Michael. The guy she loved more than anything and who she hasn’t seen or talked to in years.

Every time I’m reading a series that I really really love, I’m afraid the next book won’t be as good as the first one. Because well.. how can a book be as good as the one you loved so much?! But Samantha Young is always surprising me. I just loved ‘Things We Never Said’! From the moment I started reading I just couldn’t stop and I just never wanted this book to end.

The two main characters Dahlia and Michael where so fun to read about. I just loved getting to know them. There was so much chemistry between Dahlia and Michael and I was rooting for them from the very beginning. I loved how this story was a second-change-love story and how we slowly found out more about Dahlia and Michael’s past.

And it was also really fun to read a little about the previous characters in this series. Yes, ‘Things We Never Read’ was definitely another great read for me. And I can’t wait to read more books in this series.
