Addicted to Him (The Callahans, #3)

The last view months I’ve been reading the Dating series by Monica Murphy. And I love those books! So when I saw a sign up for another one of her books, I immediately requested it without any thought. And when I was able to start reading I did so as fast as I could. In ‘Addicted ...KEEP READING »

Rate a Date (Dating, #5)

Ever since I started reading the Dating series by Monica Murphy I’ve been hooked. It’s such a fun romantic series, and each book can easily be read as a standalone. So when the sign up for ‘Rate A Date’ came in my inbox, I knew this was a book I wanted to read. And I was super excited to start reading.

And not without reason!! In ‘Rate a Date’ Eleanor is being tricked by one of her girlfriends to get a profile on a dating app. Eleanor is a firm believer in romance, but after one bad date after the other she slowly begins to think a dating app might not be to bad. Soon after signing up, a guy called Mitch start talking to her. And before Eleanor can even think about it, they start talking everyday and even calling on Facetime. Mitch is everything Eleanor would love in a guy.. He is handsome, sweet and doesn’t seem to mind how awkward she can be. And soon Eleanor and Mitch are about to meet in real-life.

I definitely loved reading ‘Rate A Date’! It was a very romantic and very fun read I finished in one day. This book definitely made me swoon all right! And above all it made me laugh. Eleanor is a very fun character. She thinks she is ‘awkward’, but honestly I just found her a really down to earth kind of girl. I loved her. And she was damn right funny at moments.

I also really loved Mitch his character. Mitch has lived the good life. He is a professional football player, and never had to really work to get a girls attention. But after years of getting things ‘easy’ and for one night only, he is looking for a serious relationship. And from the moment he starts talking with Eleanor he can’t seem to get enough from her.

The romance between Eleanor and Mitch was so fun and sweet. And Monica Murphy definitely gave us some very sexy moments too.

What I love about this Dating series, is that each book is about another girl from the group op girlfriends. This is one fun group of friends! They support each other through everything, and they all have brunch on Sundays. Well.. I don’t know about you, but I’d love to be a part of such a group.

‘Take A Date’ was another great read in the series I’d definitely recommend for a nice summer night!

Holidate (Dating, #3)

Holidate (Dating, #3)

‘Holidate’ is the third book in the Dating Series and I’ve been loving this series so far. And when I read that this third book would have a Christmas theme, I simple couldn’t wait to start reading. I’m a big lover of Christmas stories, and this one sounded amazing.

In ‘Holidate’ we meet Candace and Charlie. Candace loves Christmas, and every year she spends the season helping foundations, organizing parties and donating money just to make sure every Christmas better than the last one.  This year she is determined to take Charlie, who runs his family’s Sullivan Family Christmas Tree Farm, and who hates Christmas, to several events and make him change his mind about this times of year.

Well, I must say this book was a lot more mellow in the romance department than the other two books in the series. But not in a bad way. Nope, I definitely loved the story of Candace and Charlie. It was sweet and fun, and perfectly Christmassy. The chemistry between them was definitely something I could feel coming of the pages. And what I loved most about this book was the way there was so much more about these two characters than you would think after reading only the first chapter.

The setting in this book was fun. I loved seeing glimpses of the other characters in the Dating series. And I loved that Christmas Tree farm. It really made me wish we had something like that here. And above all it made me want to take out my Christmas decorations already. LOL!!

‘Holidate’ is a really romantic Christmassy read, that gives you all the feels. I definitely recommend it as a Christmas read.

Fake Date (Dating, #2)

After reading ‘Save The Date’ a view weeks ago, I couldn’t resist requesting a review copy of the second book in this series. So when I received the email saying I would get an ARC I was just so excited. I mean.. have you seen that cover? I just love it, and I started reading as fast as possible.

In ‘Fake Date’ we meet Sarah. Sarah has been taking care of her younger brother and sister after she lost her parents four years ago. To pay for everything she works at a fancy lingerie store. For the last view months a Jason has requested her assistance. She always thought he was just a little cold and simply wanted the best, so he requested her. But she can’t deny the handsome man is paying more and more attention to her. Things seem to chance and Sarah has to admit there is more to the guy than she first thought.

I guess I was just like Sarah at the beginning of this book. I just didn’t really like Jason’s character. He seemed to be handsome, but things felt off with him. Luckily for me, not only Sarah started to like him more and more.. I did too. Which definitely felt like the authors intent. And I think she did an awesome job on that part.

After I came to like both main characters more and more, I found myself enjoying this book. And I didn’t want to stop reading until I finished it. Sure there were some parts that where pretty predictable. But especially Jason’s characters surprised me several times. And I loved that. The chemistry in this book was definitely something I could feel. And I enjoyed reading about Sarah and Jason getting closer and closer.

I also thought it was pretty fun to see a little of the main character of the previous book in this series. And there were plenty of possible new main characters through out this book.

Although I think I loved the first book a little more, this one was also pretty damn good.. and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Save The Date

When I saw the book cover of ‘Save The Date’ I was excited to read where this story would be about. I mean, don’t you just love that cover? I sure did, and after reading the book description I definitely wanted to read this book so I signed up for an ARC and was lucky enough to get it.

In ‘Save The Date’ we meet Caroline Abbott. Caroline is a twenty something year old who works at finding engaged people finding their perfect save the date and wedding cards. She loves her job and is definitely good in it too. One afternoon she finds herself face to face with the guy she shared her first kiss with, and he is grown into a very handsome and very successful man. And there seems to be an instant attraction between the too. But unfortunately Alexander is engaged! When something happens and the engagement is off Caroline and Alexander soon start hanging out. But is Alexander only looking for a rebound? Or is their more between them?

‘Save The Date’ is from the beginning a very fun read. The story is written through both Caroline, and Alexander’s point of view and I really loved that. It was really fun to read their story through both their point of views. And the writing really was fun and made me laugh out loud several times. Several times it felt like I was just sitting with them instead of reading about them.

The chemistry between Caroline and Alexander is really fun and I loved reading their story. Although it takes a very long time before something really happens between them, the writing kept me wanting to keep on reading. Both main characters are fun to read about and I liked them both as individuals but also together.

Although this book really didn’t have as much ‘romance’ as I would have imagined and some things felt a little rushed, I definitely enjoyed this book. And I especially loved Monica Murphy’s writing. I can’t wait to read more books by her.
