In May I read the first book in the Orchid Valley series, ‘Every Little Piece of Me’, and I loved it. So when I got the opportunity to sign up for the ARC of the next book in the series, I couldn’t resist. And I was super excited to start reading. In ‘Every Sweet Regret’ we ...KEEP READING »

Every Little Piece of Me (Orchid Valley #1)

Every Little Piece of Me (Orchid Valley #1)

‘Every Little Piece of Me’ begins six months after where the prequel ended. You can read this book without reading the prequel first. But I would recommend reading the prequel first. It definitely makes you connect with and love these characters.

It’s been six months since Marston found Brinley gone, with her wedding ring and a little note left behind. Now six months, and a lot of hurt and brooding further, Marston receives a wedding invitation to Brinley’s wedding. You can bet Marston won’t let this happen without a fight. How can Brinley leave him so easily, and invite him to her wedding?

If you read this book description it’s hard to imagine how things would end up like this between Marston and Brinley. How can Brinley plan a wedding with them still being married? It definitely made me wonder a lot. And I just wanted to keep on reading till I read every single page.

The romance between Marston and Brinley was really fun to read about. I just loved their chemistry. And I especially loved Marston. He was such a handsome, sexy, kind guy and I couldn’t get enough of him. I loved how he fought for Brinley, and how he made something of himself.

Brinley’s character frustrated me a little to be honest. Without giving to much away.. I just didn’t like how she let herself be treated by her friend Julian.

Throughout this book, we also read little bits about Marston and Brinley’s friends. I really hope there will be some books about them too.

‘Every Little Piece of Me’ was fun and romantic read, I definitely enjoyed.

Every Little Promise (Orchid Valley #0.5)

To be completely honest, I didn’t realize I was reading a prequel of ‘Every Little Piece of Me’ until I saw the cover of ‘Every Little Piece of Me’ after reading a view chapters. I received this book through Netgalley, and just hadn’t seen that it would conclude a prequel novella and the complete book. It definitely explained a lot though, since I wondered how the author was going to round up everything nicely before it felt being rushed.

In ‘Every Little Promise’ Brinley and Marston meet again for the first time after their dramatic break up ten years ago. Years ago they met at high school. Two very different kids. Marston grew up poor, with a drug addicted mother and Brinley grew up having everything she could ever want. At least that is the way it looks from the outside. But Brinley and Marston have a connection not a lot of people have. And when they broke up all those years ago, they were both heartbroken and never saw each other again.

Now they meet again and even though years have passed by, their chemistry is still very intense. And being together again makes them both want more. But Brinley is only supposed to see Marston for one time, because she has a big secret.

I definitely enjoyed this little prequel. I loved how we got to know Brinley and Marston through reading parts of the past and the present. It was a fun way to connect with these characters. And I definitely wanted to read more about these two.

Luckily for me, I had the full novel ‘Every Little Piece of Me’ waiting right after finishing this one.
