Although I haven’t read many books by Jill Shalvis so far, her books have been on my TBR list for a while. Every time I read a book description about one of her books, I want to start reading immediately. But somehow I rarely do. So when I first saw the sign up for ‘Almost ...KEEP READING »

Wrapped Up in You (Heartbreaker Bay, #8)

Wrapped Up in You (Heartbreaker Bay, #8)

Jill Shalvis is one of those authors I wanted to read a book from for a while, but somehow just never got too. So when I saw the sign up for ‘Wrapped Up In You’ I just knew this was the time for me to sign up. Especially when I saw that Christmassy looking cover. So I couldn’t be more excited when I found out I got approved to read an ARC and started reading as fast as I could.

In ‘Wrapped Up In You’ we meet Ivy and Kel. Ivy has been through some hard times over the years, but finally everything seemed to be working out for her. And nothing is going to make her life complicated again.. at least that is what she hopes. But when Ivy meets Kel she knows she’s in trouble.

Although this is my first Jill Shalvis read, ‘Wrapped Up in You’ is the 8th book in the Heartbreaker series. But this book can definitely be read a standalone and I never felt like I was missing stuff. And I really enjoyed this book. From the moment I started reading I just felt this connection to Ivy and Kel. And I loved reading their story. Even if this book made me feel way to much at times!! *Still looking for the Kleenex*

I think what I loved the most about ‘Wrapped Up In You’ was the way these characters just weren’t all that perfect. They had their flaws and they really seemed human to me. I loved that! Sometimes in these romance novels the characters just have these perfect lives which I love, but always make me feel, like they could never be more than just a book character. In this book that certainly wasn’t the case.

The romance between Ivy and Kel was sweet and intense and definitely sexy. And although the Christmas thing was only a sidenote in this book.. I enjoyed it.
