When I was looking for a September pick for Maureen’s Books Book Club I immediately knew ‘The One For Me’ had to be an option. Yes, this is the third book in a series, but it’s also a standalone series, so everyone could read this book. Luckily for me, this book got voted for the ...KEEP READING »

Fight for Me (Arrowood Brothers, #2)

After reading ‘Come Back For Me’, the first book in the Arrowood Brothers series a little while back. I knew I needed to read the other books in this series too. Every book is about one of the brothers, and I just can’t wait to read every story.

In ‘Fight For Me’ we read the story of the oldest Arrowood Brother Declan. Declan has always been the one taking care of his brothers. And years ago, after a tragic accident happened, he sacrificed his relationship with the girl he loved since he was just a kid to safe his brothers. Now, years later, Declan is forced to life in his childhood home again for at least six months. There’s no way he can escape seeing Sydney again. And he isn’t even sure he wants to. But nothing has changed, he can’t be the guy Sydney wants him to be. And being close to her again is killing him.

We read a little about Declan in the first book, so I was super excited to start reading his story. And from the moment I started I couldn’t stop. Declan and Sydney had this intense connection from a very early age on. And although they haven’t been together for years, they both still love each other. And let me tell you, the chemistry between these two is definitely flying of the pages.

I have been rooting for Declan and Sydney ever since I read about them in the first book. There is just something about these too I loved so much. And this book made me smile, cry and broke my heart several times. Although I could predict some things from happening, there where also some parts in this book that really surprised me and I stayed up late to finish this read.

I obviously loved the romance between Declan and Sydney. But I also really enjoyed the little parts about the other Arrowood Brothers. Reading about the couple of the first book, Connor and Ellie, and slowly getting to know the stories of the other brothers a little bit.

Overall this was another great read. I loved every moment and I can’t wait to read the next book.

Come Back for Me (Arrowood Brothers, #1)

After reading many great things about Corinne Michaels, I came across a review of ‘Come Back For Me’ and just knew this was book I had to read. When I saw this was also the beginning of a new series about four brothers, I got even more excited and bought a copy on Amazon.

In ‘Come Back For Me’ we read the story of the youngest Arrowood brother Connor. Connor and Ellie share one magical night together eight years ago. That one night changed them both. But it could never be more than one night. Connor left for the military the next day and they didn’t even know each other’s names. But that one night always stayed with them. With Connor while he survived the war, and with Ellie who tried to survive an abusive marriage and take care of her little daughter.

‘Come Back For Me’ was a book I couldn’t put down right from the start. Corrine Michaels writing just made it easy for me to get hooked to these characters and their story. And I loved every single page of this book.

Connor and Ellie had this intense chemistry, that you could honestly feel coming of the pages. I was rooting for them from the start, and I just loved them so much. Connor was this kind, broken guy who had a horrible past. And he survived the last couple of years, through thinking of his ‘angel’ he met years ago. And Ellie, was such a strong, tough girl. And her being a mom made me love her even more.

There’s a lot going on in this book, which I’m not going to share to much about because you’ll just have to read it yourself.. but it kept me hooked from the start. There’s romance, but also suspense.. and this book just made me cry.

I loved the way we also got to read a little about the other Arrowood brothers. This book definitely made me excited to read their stories too.  I can’t wait to read book two, that is coming in May.

If you ask me.. ‘Come Back For Me’ is a must read!!
