If I’m looking for trouble, I don’t need a rock star like Noah Hayes to find it. I play the bad girl well enough on my own.
While millions of people might idolize these so-called Rock Gods, I party with them on a daily basis. I know the truth. They’re just as flawed and damaged as the rest of us. So, while Noah’s charms may work on his many groupies, I’m immune.
But ever since Noah first laid eyes on me, it’s been his life mission to get a taste. And what he lacks in discretion, he makes up for in determination. Only, I’m stubborn, I’m angry, and I’m broken in ways he'll never know or understand.
Noah says he's willing to wait for me forever. What he doesn’t realize, is he just might have to.

What is it about rock stars? Or musicians in general? Sigh.. I just love reading books about musicians! So when I read book one in the Enemy Muse series a few weeks ago, I knew I wanted to read all the books about this rock band. Luckily for me I got send an ARC, and I was so excited I started reading as soon as I could.

In ‘Forever and Ever’ we read the story of Noah Hayes. Noah is the drummer of Enemy Muse and has definitely hit a rough spot in his life. Drugs, booze, woman.. he seems to have it all. Then there is Merry. She recently started working with the band to slowly work up to making it on her own in the music business. The last thing Merry needs is a guy like Noah. But from the moment Noah lays eyes on Merry, he wants her. Merry resists at every turn though. Why? Well Noah might be handsome, rich and popular.. but he is also trouble and Merry has enough to worry about all by herself.

After having read some bits about Noah and Merry in the previous book in the series, I was super exited to read their story in Forever and Ever. I dived right in and definitely couldn’t put this book down right from the start. Although being in a famous rock band might sound great, there is a lot about this that would make me want to crawl out of my skin to be honest. And reading Noah and Merry’s story was heartbreaking, rough and beautiful all at the same time.

At first I didn’t necessarily love Noah and Merry’s characters. They slept around a lot! Something I just don’t get, and don’t want to understand either. But I know that in the ‘rock band world’, it might be normal. But reading about it in this book, still didn’t make me love the whole sleeping around part. Luckily, from the start I could feel that there was so much more to these two characters. And that made me want to keep on reading. And I’m so thankful that I did. Because in the end I absolutely adored this book.

I loved how Noah was so open about his feelings to Merry right from the start. And I loved getting to know these two characters better and better. Did I love them as much as Sebastian and Cassie in book one? No, but I wouldn’t have wanted to miss their story for a thing. And I definitely can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I have a feeling that one will be my favorite!
