This entire thing started because of a faulty tree.
Becoming a homeowner is not all it's cracked up to be, let me tell you that right now. Especially in the dead of winter, when apparently trees can just fall in the middle of a suburban neighborhood.
Did my next-door neighbor help me remove said tree? No, he did not…
So, really…he left me no choice.
I broke into his house.
While I only intended to steal a little warmth and maybe a cup of coffee, I fell victim to his jacuzzi tub.
But he returned early and that’s really when things went south.
Instead of a cold glare or icy reply, all of which I fully expected from my disagreeable neighbor.
Colson Hanes offered to make me breakfast.
Then he asked me to stay…

After getting introduced to the two main characters Colton and Nora at the end of the first book in the Mount Macon series. I knew I couldn’t wait to read this book. So when I received the ARC I was so excited and started reading as soon as I could. And let me tell you.. I lost a lot of sleep because of this book.

In ‘Tempting the Neighbor’ we read the story of Colton and Nora. They have been neighbors for a while and outwardly they seem to dislike each other. But that isn’t the case at all. Nora has secretly had a crush on Colton for a long time now, but he is always such a jerk to her. He can’t seem to stand the idea of being in the same place as her. But one afternoon that suddenly changes, and Colton seems to want to help her out. But Nora definitely doesn’t trust this sudden change of heart at all.

When I started reading ‘Tempting the Neighbor’, it was late at night and I only planned on reading for half an hour. I ended up reading till 2 a.m. I was just hooked to these pages from the moment I started reading and I couldn’t put it down. The story of Colton and Nora completely pulled me in and I just wanted to keep on going.

The two main characters where simple amazing and lovely to get to know. We get to read this book through both Colton and Nora’s point of view and it totally warmed my heart. Nora  wanted to prove to everyone that she knew how to take care of herself. So she was buying a fixer upper, and not asking for help even though she probably should have. I loved how stubborn she was, even though she was so in love with Colton right from the start.

And then there was Colton.. I mean wow! Talk about having a major crush on book character and I picture him. He was just a dream. Yes, he seemed to be very rude and unkind at first. But there is so much more to him than we first get to see and I loved getting to know him. His past was so tragic and I cried for the little boy he once was.

The romantic and intimate moments between Colton and Nora where just perfect. And I loved everything about it. This book sure was an epic start to my reading year, and I can’t wait to read book three. And yes, these books are standalones.. but I’d prefer to read them in order.
