From NYT and USA Today bestselling author A.L. Jackson comes an enemies-to-lovers, close-proximity, second-chance romance…
Logan Lawson won me in a bet.The second I saw him sitting at the illegal card table, I knew I was in trouble. Years ago, he sealed my fate and condemned me to a life I didn’t want to lead. Yet he’s filled with untamed fury and thirsting for vengeance against the husband I hate.
Aster Costa is everything I never should have wanted. The second she showed with her pompous, prick of a husband, I should have gotten up and walked. But there’s no looking away from the woman who wrecked me. Worse, I can’t stop myself from plotting to get her back.
I want nothing more than to be free of my husband. I’m afraid Logan Lawson is the only one who can make that happen. He might hate me for our past, but now it’s me on my knees begging for help.
Finding each other in the middle of it wasn’t supposed to be part of the bargain. But once Logan touches me, I’m gone. A torch is rekindled. A fire is lit.
Aster Costa has always been mine. And this time, no matter the cost, I won’t give her back…

After reading the previous books in the Redemption Hills series, I knew I wanted to read all the books. A.L. Jackson is one of my favorite authors and just as with every other book I read by her I was so excited to start reading. So when the time came to start reading, I dived right in.

In ‘Never Look Back’ we read about the youngest Lawson brother Logan. Logan has always been the smartest Lawson brother, at least that is what everyone tells him. And he is pretty smart and handy in making people rich. But one day he gets a price he never intended to find, the one girl that broke him all those years ago, Aster.

Aster has lived her life in horror ever since Logan disappeared from her life. Once she believed him to be the love of her life, now she only wants to hate him for making her want things she can’t have. And the dislike is mutual, but there’s also a chemistry between them that they both can’t deny. Even if they really would prefer it.

To be completely honest, it took me a little while to really get into ‘Never Look Back’. It starts right in the middle of things, and it took me some time to catch up and get where we were in the story. Fortunately, when I was a few chapters in I was completely hooked.

The romance between Logan and Aster started years ago. They weren’t supposed to fall in love, or even spend time together because of their families. But from the moment these two met it’s obvious they aren’t able to stay away from each other. We read a bit about these previous moments, and we get right into the current moment where Logan and Aster meet again after they broke each other’s heart. And let me tell you.. It was intense.

And just like in most A.L. Jackson books, we get some amazing romance, some sexy scenes for sure but also some suspense that keeps you sitting on the edge of your seat. Add some moments with some previous characters from the earlier books, and you have a hit in my opinion. I can’t wait what the next book has in store for us.
