This week the construction of our home began and its going pretty well. Even the construction guys say it’s going better than expected. Our home is one white dusted mess, and it feels like we’re camping with all the laundry everywhere since I can’t hang it on the usual spot.. but I’m doing better with it than expected. Anxious wise that is! It’s a bit of a struggle with the kiddos, but we’ll manage. And the guys are really nice.
I only had to work two days this week, and I managed to catch up on my reading and blogging. My husband had his first three half days of work, after being home for a few months with his back hernia. And understandably he is in more pain now, but he is happy to be able to do something again.
The upcoming week will be pretty busy, so I hope to be able to read and hang with my kids this weekend. Especially on Sunday, when it’s Mother’s day.

Best of luck with the construction. Glad it is off to a good start, but it does disrupt life. Just keep reminding yourself it is only temporary.
It sure does. And I’ll definitely try to remember that. 🙂
Happy reading.

Thanks Emily. This is our second home, but we never did anything major. before. It’s our first big reno, and I definitely can’t see myself doing a complete home-makeover. My nerves would kill me. LOL!!
