This week I was off from work and the weather was amazing. Lucky me!
On Monday we had a birthday party of our niece who turned five. Our kids had a lot of fun playing outside, and it sure was fun to have a ‘normal’ birthday party after these last two years.
On Tuesday we took our kids to this theme park for small kids called Sprookjeswonderland, roughly translated Fairytale-land. It was the first time we ever went a park like this with our kids, and we had an amazing time. Our little girl was smiling the whole time. And although I had to go in most attractions with her because she is still a bit to small and my husband couldn’t do it with his back, I had a lot of fun too.
On Wednesday and Thursday our kids went to daycare, and my husband and I had some time for ourselves. We definitely needed a little time together. All our time goes to our kids, and although we love it.. we definitely need to take the time for each other as well. So it was fun.
The rest of the week we spend as much time outside as possible, since the weather is so nice.

It’s weird, I have been enjoying not having to go to kiddie theme parks for a few years due to covid but that bubble burst with my daughter’s 13’th a few weeks ago. The kids do love them though, but I find them exhausting.
Thanks. I totally agree they are really exhausting. And all the waiting.. But they did have a great time, and that’s what matters. 😀
Lovely to hear you had such a sunny, fun week off with your family! ☺ I enjoyed a chilled and quiet week with plenty of sunshine, where I finished reading one book, which was the Christian non-fiction Pray For Us by Meg Hunter-Kilmer. Take care and happy reading in the coming week. 🙂

I understood your Sprookjeswonderland perfectly. In Afrikaans it would have been Sprokieswonderland. Very similar!

The weather has been great here too! Though a bit hot, we did get to enjoy our pool finally lol The kids theme park sounds fun! It’s nice we get to go do things now haha Have a great week!
