The Sunday Post #86: Mid Pregnancy Scan & Food Poisoning

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimberly the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ Its a chance to share news ~ A Post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Another week has flown by. I had to work during the Easter weekend, which includes the Monday here in The Netherlands. So I was happy to have Tuesday off. Tuesday started of great with a mid-pregnancy scan at the BabyCenter. Everything was checked, and we had a beautiful look at our baby girl for almost 30 minutes. It was so beautiful, and thankfully everything is looking great. Even though I didn’t really have any reason to think something was wrong, I was really relieved when the sonographer told us everything looked perfect. Now we can enjoy my pregnancy even more.

Tuesday ended with a dentist appointment and, unfortunately,  some food poisoning. At least I think it was food poisoning because my husband’s stomach was upset too. I unfortunately ended up vomiting for the whole evening, and a little while during the night. So I stayed home from work on Wednesday. Nursing other people while I felt terrible didn’t seem to be a good idea.

Thankfully I felt already much better by Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday my mom came over to help me clean a little. Which was really great, and we had a fun time too. I made some lunch and we watched an episode of Gilmore Girls together. A perfect day at home!

Friday and this weekend I have to work again. But I can’t complain since I will have a lot of weekends off from work after this one.

Reading wise I’ve been doing better and better. It seems my concentration is coming back a little, or maybe my body is just getting used to all these hormones. LOL!! I have been reading a little every night. So I’m happy!

On Maureen’s Books Promotions the Book Promo of ‘Aphrodite’s Tears’ by Hannah Fielding started, which was pretty exciting for me too.

    1. It definitely was amazing Lauren. And she didn't seem to want to be in the spotlight just yet. Since she kept moving the other way. LOL!! Just like her parents.

  7. Glad all is well with the baby. :)
I love your random pic. It is so true! I'm the anti social one for reading but the other members of the household are normally staring at phones/tablets... *eyeroll*

    1. Crazy right?! When I'm at work and want to read during the break I'm not social. But when I go downstairs with them, they are all on there phones for most of the hour. Sigh..
Have a great week and happy reading.
