A Montana man always protects the woman he loves

He discovered her during a Montana blizzard, freezing cold, impossibly vulnerable, a little boy by her side. Undercover DEA Agent Beck “Trigger” Cooke is astonished to recognize Ashley Swan—award-winning actress, famous beauty—and missing for over a year. To keep her and the child hidden from a sadistic madman, he secrets the pair away to his isolated home.

No longer a prisoner, and protected at Hope Ranch, Ashley recovers and learns the tall, tempting federal agent may have a dark past, but it hasn’t destroyed his sense of honor.

As they shed past roles and find common ground, Ashley and Trigger can’t help but fall slowly, carefully, in love. But danger still lurks outside the boundaries of Hope Ranch, for until her crazed captor is brought to justice, and Trigger’s undercover past is laid to rest, none of them will ever be truly safe…

My Review:

A little while ago I read a review about the Montane Heat series, and after that I knew this was a series I wanted to read. So when the time came, I ordered the first book in the series ‘Escape To You’ and started reading as fast as I could.

In ‘Escape To You’ we meet Beck ‘Trigger’ Cooke, a DEA agent who has worked undercover for the last view years. After his last job ended badly, Beck is hiding away at his Montana home surrounded by nothing but land and silence. That is definitely all Beck needs. At least that is what he thinks. But when he founds a young, starved and abused woman with a little boy hiding on his land, everything changes.

Ashley Swan is a famous Hollywood actress who disappeared almost a year ago. A lot of people think Ashley is hiding from her famous life, but the truth is to horrible to think of. Ashley has been living in a hell, being abused and hurt day in day out by a man she thought off as her friend. But one moment, she is able to escape and with a lot of risk she also saves the young boy that is hiding in a room next to her. Terrified, hungry and hurt she finds herself on Beck’s property. But can she really be safe.

From the moment I started reading ‘Escape To You’ I was fascinated by this read. It was such an intense, romantic, thrilling and suspense filled story that I didn’t want to stop reading. And obviously I ended up reading this book in one day.

I loved both main characters Beck and Ashley. Beck was mysterious and handsome. And he had something about him that made me like him immediately. It probably also had to do something with the way he was just so sweet to Ashley and the little boy Adam. I loved reading about how took care of those too.

And Ashley definitely was a bad-ass and kind woman. All she wanted to do was be an actress. But she didn’t like the famous lifestyle. And the things she went through when she was abducted.. Boy! It was just horrible, but she stayed strong and I loved that about her.

I really enjoyed reading ‘Escape To You’. It’s a perfect read if you like romance and suspense. And I for one can’t wait to read more books in this series.
