Today I’m super excited to participate in the Blog Tour of ‘Echoes in Death’ by J.D. Robb. ‘Echoes in Death’ is the 44th book in the In Death series.

About the Book:
A dark and gripping new case for Lieutenant Eve Dallas – from number one bestseller J.D. Robb

New York at night. A young woman stumbles out on to a busy street - right in front of Lieutenant Eve Dallas and husband Roarke. Her name is Daphne Strazza, and she has been brutally assaulted. Confused and traumatised, she manages to tell them one thing. Her attacker wore a devil's mask.

As Eve investigates this shocking case, she soon discovers a disturbing pattern. Someone is preying on wealthy couples, subjecting them to a cruel and terrifying ordeal. Worse still, the attacks are escalating in violence and depraved theatricality. Eve and her team are now in a race against time to find the man behind the mask - before he strikes again. But for Eve, this case in particular has unsettling echoes of her own troubled past . . .

My Review:

I’ve been a fan of the In Death series by J.D. Robb ever since I read ‘Obsession in Death’ in 2015. There are still a lot of books in this series I haven’t read, but I like to have a goal in live. LOL! The previous J.D. Robb book ‘Apprentice in Death’ wasn’t really what I hoped it would be. So I was anxious and excited to read the newest book ‘Echoes in Death’,  as fast as I could.

In ‘Echoes in Death’ Lieutenant Eve Dallas and her husband Roarke find a naked, abused and confused woman in front of their car. The woman is covered in blood and it’s not all her own. Soon Dallas finds out the woman’s husband is murdered in their home and soon they learn there are two more cases that look just like this one. And before they know it they learn more disturbing things about their murderer and his victims.

I was so thrilled when I found myself being grabbed by this story from the moment I read the first page. After not really enjoying the previous book in this series I was afraid I wouldn’t like this one either, which would be really disappointing because I liked the other books I read so much. Thankfully I really loved this book from the first page till the very end. ‘Echoes in Death’ was disturbing, thrilling and exciting and I just couldn’t stop reading. I read in ‘Echoes in Death’ in just one sitting because I just wasn’t able to put the book away.

There were a view people in this book I found suspicious. And I loved finding out the clues two who the murderer was. And when Dallas described the clues that made her mind up about who the murderer was I had a major ‘aha’ moment. I love when that happens and it definitely made for another great In Death book.

And not to forget.. I was great to read about Eve Dallas and Roarke again. I just love that couple. They are definitely one of my favorite married couples in books.

If you’re a fan of thrilling and exciting novels you definitely need to read ‘Echoes in Death’.
