Review 'Rescuing Rayne' by Susan Stoker (Audio)
As a flight attendant, Rayne Jackson is used to cancellations, but she never dreamed her latest would lead to a whirlwind tour of London with a handsome stranger…or a life-altering night in his bed. One evening is all the enigmatic man can give her, and Rayne greedily takes it, despite suspecting it will never be enough.

Heading home after another extreme mission, Keane "Ghost" Bryson hadn't planned to seduce someone during his layover, but Rayne is too sweet to resist. Being a Delta Force member means lying to protect his identity, which is unfortunate, considering Rayne seems made for Ghost, right down to the tattoo on her back. For the first time in his life, regret fills him as he slips away the following morning.

Both are shocked when, months later, they meet again—under the worst possible circumstances. Seems fate has given them a second chance…if they can survive the terrorist situation they're in. If Rayne can forgive Ghost his lies. And if Ghost can trust Rayne to be strong enough to endure the secrets and uncertainty that come with loving a Delta Force soldier.

My Review:

Ever since I read a review of ‘Rescuing Rayne’ several months ago, I knew I wanted to read this book. It sounded like a good romance story and I especially loved that Big Ben on the front of the cover (I have a thing for London :D). So when I was looking for a new audiobook and saw ‘Rescuing Rayne’ I knew it had to be fate. As soon as I could I started listening.

In ‘Rescuing Rayne’ we meet flight attendant Rayne Jackson. When Rayne is on the airport waiting for the flight to London to arrive her eyes immediately fall on a handsome stranger waiting on the same flight. When Rayne sits next to him, she soon find out the strangers name is Ghost and he is extremely sexy and fun.

Ghost works as a Delta soldier, a super-secret military unit. Ghost isn’t allowed to talk about his job to anyone other than his teammates. So when beautiful Rayne sits next to him at the airport he isn’t telling her anything about himself, but he is having more fun in his conversation with her than he had in a long time with any other woman. When their flight gets canceled, they decide to spend one day together in London. One day only. But both didn’t expect that night to mean so much.

‘Rescuing Rayne’ was from the moment I started listening very interesting. I loved the two main character Rayne and Ghost. And the moments they had together were fun, sweet, romantic and very sexy and I enjoyed listening to their story. This story wasn’t only sexy and romantic though, there were definitely a view thrilling moments that kept me hooked till I really had to stop listening to get out of the car and get to work. I guess you could say this story was little predictable at times, but there were plenty of surprising moments that made up for that.

The narrator Stella Bloom did a great job. She really made these characters come to life for me and it was so fun to listen to her different voices for the characters. Especially those accents. I loved the Texas accents, and they fitted the story perfectly. I especially loved how Stella made Rayne and Ghost sound. You could definitely hear the emotions in her voice. She’s definitely one of the best narrators I’ve heard.

There were a view moments that I found Ghost acting to much like an alpha male. But I guess it did fit his military super soldier character. I also didn’t really get his actions at times.

But this book was definitely a great one and I’m looking forward to reading or listening to more books in this series.
