Wednesday's Favorites: The Pact by Karina Halle

Welcome to the Wednesday's Favorites post. In the Wednesday's Favorites post I will talk about a book I loved and that I think deserves a little more attention. I read popular books, but also many books that aren’t so popular (yet). In this post all sorts of books from all sorts of genre’s will have a chance to shine. Today’s Wednesday's Favorites is 'The Pact' by Karina Halle, a book I read in June 2015.

About the Book:
It all started with a pinky swear…

Linden McGregor is tall, rugged, and gunslinger handsome; a helicopter pilot with a Scottish brogue and charm to spare. He’s also one of Stephanie Robson’s best friends and has fit into that box for as long as she’s known him.

But some relationships can’t be boxed, can’t be classified, can’t be tamed.

Back in their mid-twenties and tired of the competitive hit-or-miss dating scene of San Francisco, Steph and Linden made a pact to marry each other if neither one of them are in a serious relationship by the time they hit thirty.

It sounds like fun and games but as the years to thirty tick past and lovers come and go out of their lives, the pact becomes larger than life.
Sex is inevitable. Friendships are tested. Hearts are on the line.

The pact is about to change everything.

Praise for 'The Pact':

Honestly, this was a really great read. I loved that it was a standalone that gave us the whole story at once. I couldn’t put it down, loved the characters, the writing was addictive and I’d definitely recommend it!

Scorching hot and heart achingly beautiful, The Pact will make you burn in the most deliciously painful way possible. So if you're looking for a refreshing, extremely sexy and heart wrenching read that will make you work for it, The Pact is for you.

So, if you can brave through the fact that you are picking up a book with a rather cliche plot line, I can guarantee you will be pleased once you really get into it. These characters will warm your heart and make you want to pick up pretty much any and all Karina Halle books.

From the beginning ‘The Pact’ is a book you can easily get lost in. The writing is easy to follow, funny and there is immediately this palpable attraction between the two main characters, which makes you want to keep reading.

  1. I *think* I own this one, as I think I grabbed it in a 99c kindle offer one time from Amazon. I've heard great things about this author so I need to make time to read it soon. I just can't seem to get on top of my arcs at the moment though :(

    1. I definitely know that problem Trish. But you really should try to read it soon. I really loved it and couldn't put it down! ;)
