My Review:

The first thing that got my eye when I read about ‘The Burned Bridges Protocol’ was the beautiful looking cover. I love the colors and the mystery of it. So when I read where the book was about I immediately really wanted to read it.

In ‘The Burned Bridges Protocol’ we meet Lillian, a sixteen year old and resident of the colony ship New Edinburgh. Lillian hasn’t known anything other than life on the ship. But one day she wakes up and finds herself in a life pod on her way to a holding station Lady Diana. After the first shock of finding out why Lillian is on that pod, Lillian soon finds out she is not alone and her brother and some of her friends are also there. But before they get the chance to get used to the idea of their new life, and finale journey to the earth, Lillian finds herself in great danger. And soon Lillian and her friends are forced to fight for their lives.

In ‘The Burned Bridges Protocol’ there is no slow intro into the story. Right from the very first page this story is intriguing and interesting. The action begins right away and I felt myself wanting to keep reading. The writing style in this book is very interesting, not like any other book I’ve read before. One minute your reading a conversation between the two main characters, and next your reading through the eyes of an intelligent computer/ life pod.
The story is fast paced and there is a lot happening and it’s definitely very interesting to read.

The one downfall in this book for me where the names. For example the main character Lillian is also called Anne. Not very confusing but then there is Chloe and she’s also called the Maiden. That was just a little confusing for me because this book moves so fast and it took me a little while to remember what name belonged to which character. And all the other characters also have other names.

Still, this book is very interesting and definitely worth your time. Especially when you like Sci- Fi stories. This book makes me want to keep an eye out on Abigail Borders writing.
